Dino's Game 4 Press Conference | Army

When asked if there was a chance his injury could be season ending, Dino said something along the lines of: "There's always a chance."
Fingers crossed that he's just trying to play games with Dabo and his staff. I think Peña can make our passing game more dynamic and harder to defend.

I think we can be fine without him but our offensive ceiling is definitely higher if Trebor can get on the field.

I think he provides that slot option as a smaller dynamic wide out. If not maybe Gill could get a shot in that role more?

I think I said it in a thread last week but I think Peña can be the rock the Shrader needs with OG done. Right now we have a handful of guys who can be very good but just about all of them have very high variance not even game-to-game but literally possession-to-possession. Thinking Alford/Brown/Hatcher.

A healthy Trebor and Isaiah Jones staying on the field would go a long way, imo.

Again, it is almost impossible to hear the questions asked at the press conference.

I listened to a Purdue presser last week, and the questions were as clearly heard as the answers from the coach.

John Wildhack - can't there be a handheld mic passed in the audience, or have a an intern walk the mic to the person asking the question?
For a communications school, Syracuse has the worst communication output for ANY college. This no microphone for questions is just comical at this point. In addition, the running of the jumbotron score board (no running college scores) and audio at games is so amateurish that it is laughable. We all complain about it here, how can JW's team be that incompetent that these things are not noticeable? It is quite irritating to be at these games and, we as paying fans, have to experience subpar output from one of the top communications schools in the country. It is almost like they have a student from a liberal arts class running the show and is oblivious to sports in general (except maybe chess club).

Not encouraging about Pena. When he said "if he ever returns" that didn't sound good. Also said there's always a chance in regards to it being season ending. So it doesn't sound like it should be season ending but doesn't sound like he is returning too soon.

But i'm more concerned about Isaiah Jones. I didn't even notice him get hurt. When did that occur? I saw him go up high to get the one on the sideline and when he came down the defender got his hand in there and he couldn't reel it in. Was the injury on that play? If Jones injury is serious at all I think that one will hurt even more now that OG is out. Not good.

Operations management, game day operations, and marketing aren't taught at Newhouse.

“Isaiah Jones had a limited snap count, was that related to an injury?”

Dino: “Not at all”

Exactly at the 4 minute mark

Post game Jones looked to be completely fine when leaving the stadium

I wouldn’t worry too much there, but I could be wrong
This makes me happy!

He could have bruised anything the way he landed. He seemed fine on the sideline but he obviously didn’t go after that.

Yeah gregarious Dino is more fun, and it makes me paranoid that he is salty because he got more bad news on the injury front. Hopefully he is just plain old crabby for another reason

It’s possible he misplaced a DVD he was hoping to watch this morning and he’s taking it badly. Let’s hope injuries have nothing to do with it.

Well now I am more worried, what did he do to piss off dino?

That was my thought exactly. I feel like it’s a trend that when he’s a cantankerous old goat, it’s because of bad injury news.

So let's put our speculatin' hats on... who could it be?

I still think it’s Jones.

I mean, OG travelled to the game, just so we could keep pretending he wasn’t out for the season.
Wouldn't put it past Dino to try that move again.

Or - maybe Peña had another setback?

Hopefully he’s just channeling JAB’s “salty w local media, sweet with the National” approach.

Edited to add: OK, I just watched the whole thing.
He was only a sprinkle of salt, and only for a few Q’s.

I did chuckle that he’s going to take Emily’s Q about the play Rocky drew up at halftime as a “challenge” for him to spot in the review.
