Coach Babers, “Tomorrow we go to work. I woke up at 4:00 am this morning, I wasn’t thinking about football, I wasn’t thinking about anything. I turned on the movie, Equalizer.”

Babers talks about how football has changed in his time with NIL, Covid-19 and the transfer portal.

Babers says Syracuse Football has the strongest offensive staff they’ve had since he has been there.

When asked about having too many cooks in the kitchen. Babers says the key is to let one person cook. We are 300 once we make a decision.

Babers says he would love to have 44 strong, 44 deep. He will answer that question if he has that depth at the end of August.

“The transfer portal has made it a much harder road for high schoolers and junior college players.”

Babers ends the press conference saying how QB Shrader will be on a pitch count moving forward at practices.
