Instead of being a freshman who won't pass to open team mates and dribbles into double teams, he's now a sophomore who won't pass to open team mates and dribbles into double teams.

Its early, I know, but still, talk is cheap.

You can't take the old school Philly streets out of that kid. He is always going to be a me first guy.

It runs in the family. It took Scoop 3 years to get the "hero" bug outta his system...at least I HOPE its outta his system!

So the board's still picking on Dion yet the local boy Triche played horrendously and not a word. Oh, this board sometimes

Triche is quickly becoming an "oh, by-the-way" issue for me. When it comes to Brandon I'm from Missouri...he has to Show Me!
I refuse to keep "expecting" him to be consistent, and I am now ready to settle for consistently inconsistent. Been burned too many times in 2 years- just hoping 3rd year's the charm.
Dion can be a star- but I don't see JB ever giving him that much rope. Whether its loyalty to BT or whatever, he's not likely to "let Dion, be Dion"!

Let's not get carried away...Triche took 11 shots...and only made 2, 1 asst, 1 to and 5 boards...not a good game...Waiters shot better, had 3 TOs, and remains a one man gang...if he isnt shooting or dribbling into a double team he isnt happy...
I will support Dion, as i would any team member; but he still is not a team player...regardless how good he may be...he hurts the team concept

Waiters shot better

Waiters shot horribly and has the worst looking shot. Same as last years shot. He wasn't even close on the J. He was the beneficiary of 3 break away dunks when others stole the ball he he leaked down court. Otherwise he was 1-5 on "shots".

His shots were in-and-outs. You are blinded by your hatred. Triche was horrible but it means nothing in this game.

In and out? Which one? The air ball or the one that got all backboard?

Take away Dions 3 dunks in transition that other players provided for him and what exactly did he do differently than last season? To me he did the same thing but was quicker and got off the floor better.

I think you were watching Southerland who almost killed a couple of fans with his jumpshots tonight. Dion might have had one bad miss-I can't remember- but he had at least two outside shots that rattled out.

Take away Triche's 9 misses and he was perfect from the field. Do you actually think Triche played better than Dion? Is that what you're getting at?

So he can dribble into trouble faster now!

No I thought they were both bad!

It's way to early to make any long term judgements but of course that's never stopped me.
Brandon tried to get out of the shoot fast and obviously had not cleared it withJB. He was terrible and he knew it.
Scoop was the only guard out there tonight that showed a D1 quality handle and his cousin better better spend some time considering where he is going to go from here or he's going to find himself out of the rotation. jB's body language was very clear every time he turned it over. The drive to nowhere is a genetic implant.
MCW has the coaches confidence and patience. He will be special.

Bees is right. Dions shots since March Madness have looked like someone throwing Rocks on a roof.

JB probably wanted Triche to shoot more.
JB said in the presser that he was happy that Brandon was aggressive. He got 11 shots up in 15 mintues that would have taken him 35 last year.

I will say this though. Dion attacks. He is Agressive Strong and WoW is he in good shape. The coaches really need to pull out the big ball for him to humble him. He said in the postgame presser he had alittle tendinitus before but its better now. He also went to talk about how he worked really hard this summer on his body got no results for a long time but stuck with it and it worked out. Nice to see him have a learning experience like that makes me think he could be around Syracuse for a while. Can't wait to him and MCW take over a year from now. And thats saying ALOT becuase this season is special!

Out of the rotation? Another Dion hater here. Boeheim commented positively on Dion's aggressiveness.

I guess this has turned into the Brandon vs. Dion board again just one exhibition in.

Yea it did once Matt said Dion looked like a star in the making out there tonight when the fact is, it was the same Dion as last year. Find me a post that said Triche looked good.

I thought Dion was fine. Looked comfortable. Lots of bricks from everybody. The jury is still out on the ability of some of our main guys to get to the rim consistently. Dion will have no problem. The drive and pass to MCW was nice.

Dion plays with so much feeling and confidence.

Make Dion run all his half court scoring drills with the bigball. That will teach him how to be humble and give him a challenge something he never dismisses.

And Scoop had a pretty nice game today. I liked what I saw.

Nobody said Triche was good but Dion was the one singled out as the me- first, brick laying, non-defense playing guy out there when it was clear he was more productive than the other guards save Scoop.

So he has the worse looking and and was rewarded for being in the right spot on fast breaks yes bees very accurate. And ill add everyone learns to shoot the ball their own way and not everyone has the picture perfect shot but if it works for them you dont mess with mechanics.

Yes, he has the worst looking shot of the shooters and it is the same shot as last year. He's not a jump shooter and guys lay off him, which is fine. And yes, he was rewarded for being out on the break like he should be since he is a guard playing up top. I'd be pissed if he was breaking down court like any guard would that is at the top of the key defensively. Doesn't make him a star in the making quite yet. He was also the only player that show boated after a basket. But that's just Dion.

He was singled out because one of the Dion lovers made a false statement and he was all of the above you just mentioned.

AC -- "rocks on a roof" may be his way but you have to get it somewhere near the rim. Oh my bad, rocks on the roof,, go clang.
