Director of Lacrosse Operations

I have absolutely no inside knowledge, but here are some names... Eddy Glazener, TD, John Grant Jr, RP

I don’t get the sense that whoever they name for this role will be someone who is recognizable. I could be wrong but taking a look at other DOLOs across the lacrosse landscape, it’s not very high profile.

I have to imagine it will be someone connected to the club recruiting world. Maybe someone from the Gait Lacrosse (equipment) world? Notre Dame’s DOLO did finance in Japan for 30 years before joining ND (he is an Irish lacrosse alum). So the background really could be from a business standpoint I guess.

I thought Tommy Castanza was being groomed to take over for RSIII but that obviously changed when the new regime took over. Castanza had connections with SwetLax before being hired.

About the average starting salary for a new college graduate. This isn’t a position that someone with an established career would take unless they are in very good financial shape and are looking to close out their work career.

Any idea if this positions comp/pay can be augmented by camps held on campus?

Seriously ? Pretty demeaning to Simmons III. I think you have no clue.

Why’s that demeaning? Why should a position like this have a higher starting salary than a nurse or teacher or something?

I’m sure that’s where Simmons started way back when.

Because it's paid for by the athletic department of a private university and not tax payers. Not every teacher or nurse (the favorites of socialists) is deserving of high wages. Doing a job does not always mean doing it well.

Your first line is a conclusion, not an actual justification/reason. Your second sentence is a strawman. Your third sentence is absolutely true but irrelevant.

why don't you try both jobs. You might find humility a welcome alternative to arrogance.

Ok. It has nothing to do with Simmons, it what the position will pay for a new director. He was a former assistant that transitioned to that spot. I’m sure he made a lot more that the new hire will be brought on at.

Just applied.

Kidding, I know the job pays half that amount. I spoke with someone today at the lake placid tournament that inquired and that isn’t close to the number they were given.

98,000 - 127,000

The Director of Operations at Syracuse makes more than a majority of D1 assistants and a handful of D1 head coaches? Not a chance that number is close to accurate.
