Director of Operation wanted for summer league baseball

The Onondaga Flames of the prestigious Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League has an opening for a Director of Operations. We have an excellent Director of Baseball - this position will be responsible for all non-roster functions. At the moment the position is seasonal - March - August, but we are developing another team an hour from Syracuse that would make this a full-time position. We hope to have this finalized in the next couple of months.

This is an excellent position for a recent sports management graduate just starting out. League teams operate in the same fashion as MiLB - mascots, community outreach, on-field entertainment, group events, etc. The PGCBL is highly regarded by college coaches throughout the country (we have players coming from as far away as Gonzaga in Seattle, WA). The league is heavily scouted by MLB scouts - over 1,500 former players have played professional baseball (30 to 40 get drafted each year).

The team plays 50 games during June and July with playoffs the first week in August. Home games will be at Onondaga Community College baseball complex in Onondaga Hill.
