Definite upgrade. A guy who will be in the 2 deep rotation vs a guy that for whatever reason likely wasn’t going to be a factor here.

The hard part is we had 4 go down this year alone. We need this Thomas kid. We also either arent teaching or are allowing our interior and exterior guys to keep oline infront of them which ifind kinda weird. Pass downs should be get off your man in your gap and sack the qb. We use no hand fighting or clubing or anything tha removes the olineman fron in between d and QB

I hardly saw a DL Stunt, Swim move, Gap Rush, Blitz, Stabs. We let OL into our chests and lock up every play.

Not sure about the under performing part. Chris had 43 tackles this season. That is a really impressive number for a DT. Only 1 sack but I think we are looking for him to shut down runs inside. He can do that really well.

I like our two young DTs and a couple of the incoming frosh but my guess is that this guy plays a ton next season, especially against teams that try to power run against us. You need guys like this to beat teams like ND and Tennessee.

The offers coming out of the portal for the 2nd time certainly didn’t match the ones out of HS. Cuse is by far his best portal offer but he’s still a guy you can depend on for 25 snaps or so which is always needed at this position
