Players at a weight over 300# is not a requirement for our scheme. But yes we are undersized in general, partly because they are all so young.

Can you explain the scheme? because usually with 3 d lineman its a 2 gap scheme where you want the middle or Nose to occupy the center and a guard, that obviously requires more size.

They attack those gaps with more faster and athletic guys. Thats hard to block as well. They were one of the best run stopping defense in the Acc. 30th in the country. Josh Black was the heaviest DL at 290 and he was probably lighter than that.
