Yeah I suppose that is a possibility, I would think these kids would be on fairly tight leashes but maybe not.

Not that I've heard. That was a RED flag. Being good at football is one thing. More to it , than that. I want this kid orange, but I'll trust in the staff, which ever way this goes.

Heard from a reliable source that Norman was a solid commit to the Cuse yesterday along with Diggs.

Enough said, take it and believe what you you want and then wait til Wednesday and then go from there. Don't lose any sleep over it.

So we are landing two out of three studs, at least. The one we may miss on maybe due to not the right fit.

Sounds like first world problems.

Just because the guy was highly rated and had lots of offers out of high school doesn’t mean he’s automatically a take now even if he visits. Yes I really wanted him because I assumed he would be very good for us down the road (and he still might be good) and looking at his high school rankings and offers would lead us to think that. We really don’t know much more about him other than he bounced around a couple of schools in high school and didn’t play senior year then redshirted 1st year at UF.

Not that he has to but I don’t believe he ever tweeted out an offer from us like many so good chance we wanted to get a look at him before offering. How did Florida see him? Maybe he was more developmental than a lot thought. Maybe we were seeing him as a backup to the other Irvington kid or other portal guys who have yet to visit. Maybe we just didn’t see him as a fit in our system. Maybe he just wasn’t a culture fit with the team and/or coaches. It could be so many other reasons as well.

Sure the optics of bringing in another former 4 star transfer would be great but I’ll trust Fran and staff in regards to their personnel decisions.

The potential upside might have been too big to dismiss any potential concerns the staff had, so they wanted an in-person visit to check him out: Attitude, Camaraderie, Respect, (See Also: D.A.R.T.), etc.

We still don't really "know" anything yet, so we will see how it plays out in the next couple of days.

I think this is short sighted. First, a visit does not have to be tied to a committal offer. Second, the few thousands of dollars sunk on an official pales in comparison to the investment that will be made once a recruit signs and gets on campus.

If something kept the player and staff from being on the same page, it's good this will be sorted out now instead of during spring ball or over the summer.
