Do NOT expect an announcement tomorrow.

What's the freaking point? If we're only offering $1.2M per year, why wait for them to inevitably turn it down? Just hire the SUNY Albany coach and get it over with.

Don't forget IMG pays some of the salary so that 1.2 probably isn't fully accurate.

ADMC is realizing how different it is to sell a Hyundai when you're used to selling Lexus

In this analogy Boise St is a Lexus?!

I'd go Hyundai vs Toyota.

Correct, which would be a huge step up from where we currently are. These contracts will be loaded with incentive-based bonuses and thresholds. Baby steps!
So are everyone's. There are no bargains in a runaway bull market.
By the end if this season the ACC ante will have gone up again - big time. We are losing ground not gaining it.
We don't belong in this game.

Brohm?
Mullen?

Would 2.5 mil per bring either one? We offered skippy and Edsall 2 mil per seven years ago for sake! Now we are offering 1.2?

Please just throw the kitchen sink at babers and if he says no give the offer to the slab of meat from tOSU and call it a day
What's the rush? Starting this weekend just go down the list.

1. Dino Babers, 54 (Bowling Green)
2. Jeff Brohm, 44 (Western Kentucky)
3. Lincoln Riley, 32 (Oklahoma OC)
4. Philip Montgomery, 43 (Tulsa)
5. Bobby Wilder, 51 (Old Dominion)
6. Todd Monken, 49 (Southern Miss)
7. Doc Holliday, 58 (Marshall)
8. Matt Luke, 39 (Ole Miss OC / AHC)
9. Mike Sanford, 33 (Notre Dame OC)
10. Sonny Cumbie, 34 (TCU Co-OC / QB Coach)

Coyle should take this list and take a couple days off. Come back fresh with your interviews lined up throughout the weekend into next week. Starting on Saturday - give Babers your best offer and go from there.

Things may have started to slow down a bit and Coyle may want to talk to a few of the coaches who can't speak until Saturday evening/Sunday morning. This is going to be fun! It makes 100% sense for Coyle to wait. Ash can always be a fallback option, so no need to settle just yet. If he really has already settled on Ash, which I'm skeptical of, he would've missed the chance on a few other high profile guys. This is no time to rush this decision. He missed out on his overwhelming #1, so now it's time to regroup. A few of the targets remain coaching in their conference championship games, so I think things will pick up heavy steam by the end of Sunday. Patience is a virtue. Especially now. Let's get the right guy, not the easiest guy. K, good talk folks. Now back to bed...

This can't be true. Many posters already had their rants about Ash.

Because we'll offer more if it's a HC with experience.

They both had years of experience

No thanks on the baby steps, we've suffered too long!
