LOL Well, we did play 8 todayIt’s not about the players (Or alleged lack of players) on the bench.
it’s the same shtick every year for like 15 years now.
Well, with no practices for almost two weeks and a battle to the wire, what would you do?
Well, 8 in one half, and 5.1111125 in the second half if we are being precise.LOL Well, we did play 8 today
Not a response, a question. What would you have done differently? Braswell and Richmond got time in the first half. We had to fight for every point. Would you have benched one of your best five and lessened your chance of winning the game?lol
I honestly can’t believe this is a response
If we had benched Joe early in the second half, that game would have been an easy win.Not a response, a question. What would you have done differently? That is why there was a lol to start my postWell, 8 in one half, and 5.1111125 in the second half if we are being precise.
Playing in the vernacular offered by djcon to start this thread means participating in more than spot circumstances (Frank and Jesse). And in the entire game (Richmond)
agree w this.If we had benched Joe early in the second half, that game would have been an easy win.
People need to stop. Joe was atrocious today. Didn't deserve a quarter of the time he got.

Which is what folks had said for 2-3 years now.Honestly if Kadary barely got off the bench today when Joe was putrid, it seems like a stretch he gets legitimate minutes
Honestly, can anyone put themselves into the minds of recruits and their parents in these situations, especially after last year and the guards all bailing? If I had a kid who was thinking about playing guard at SU in the next 2 years, there is no way I let him come to SU. Regardless of ranking, talent, or whatever factor.Honestly if Kadary barely got off the bench today when Joe was putrid, it seems like a stretch he gets legitimate minutes
That's a good point. I'd love to hear JB admit to that. I'd shut up for the rest of the week about it.agree w this.
seemed jb wanted him to play through it, I agree he should've been benched
Actually, the ESPN box score shows that we played 10. But Anselem (4), Braswell (3), and Edwards (1) got only token minutes, and Sidebe left with an injury after playing only 4 minutes.technically played 9 today
was clear in 2nd half JB, for whatever reason, went ride or die with a single lineup until Marek's 4th foul
I mean, I can’t disagree. Girard is simply a slow and terrible defender and had an awful game overall and yet JB kept him in the whole time. As someone else said, it really is coaching malpractice to keep Kadary on the bench the whole second half AND keep Girard in the game when he was playing so awful. Honestly, I know other people like Girard and he was def our best option at PG last season and he has the potential to be a high level 3-point shooter (he’s not right now), but I’ve never really been super impressed with him. And on defense, you cannot have him and Buddy playing the top of the zone 38 mpg and expect to be a good defensive team. Buddy, Girard and Kadary all need to be getting time in the backcourt. It’s not about the players (Or alleged lack of players) on the bench.

There is a 45 year history (with few exceptions) of what JB will or will not do in a close game. He is going to play the 5 he has the most faith in, until or unless his hand is forced. If Marek didn’t get 4 fouls then no sub would have entered in the second half. I’m at the point where I don’t believe anything people say before the season starts about the lineup. He will always go 6 maybe 7 with very rare exceptions.

And people on this board said we would practice every day leading up to the first game. And people on this board thought we would beat Bryant by 20 plus. Best laid plans...Are people in this thread being jokey like Dasher or serious?
I know what the box score says. People on this board before the season said 8-9 players would get decent mins. Decent mins means 10 plus. Not 1 minute.
