Yes! Phil Steele picked SU to go to a bowl game, not 4-8 ! Miracle! Picks us 4th in the Atlantic with a trip to the Pinstripe against Northwestern. Oh that Phil
I am so glad that the former head coach is gone, and that we have this current coaching staff led by a head coach with incredible passion for this school. I see only good things ahead for this program.Yes! Phil Steele picked SU to go to a bowl game, not 4-8 ! Miracle! Picks us 4th in the Atlantic with a trip to the Pinstripe against Northwestern. No need for the veiled shots at the last head coach that did so much for this football program.I am so glad that the former head coach is gone, and that we have this current coaching staff led by a head coach with incredible passion for this school. I see only good things ahead for this program.

Better yet... duh dah dunh duhh duhhh I'm loving it!
Doug Marrone had great passion for SU, far more than Shafer possibly could. As DM said, he owes everything to SU. He left where he belongs to come rescue his school's football program. He righted the ship and left it in good hands. Shafer would be just as enthusiastic if he was coaching Southwest East State Ag & Tech. Its not an SU thing, its a Shafer thing. At this time, that is great for us.I am so glad that the former head coach is gone, and that we have this current coaching staff led by a head coach with incredible passion for this school.
