I don't disagree, but I wasn't with him impressed until Long became the QB. They may be an even more dynamic combo than Nassib and Lemon.

He's really close friends with Alin Edouard too. He's only going to get better.

Especially with Edouard being a question mark to even show up, I am not sure Alin and Ishmael will ever even play together. I expect Long to be the QB for his career...which is Ishmael's as well.

I believe in our young talent. Very shaky on the coaching staff, but the coaching staff has brought in that talent sooooo catch 22.

Do I think we're ever going to be competing for national titles? No I don't. I think our measure of success is a bowl game, with the occasional season where we make a run at 9-10 wins. And that's fine, we are who we are and we're working with the resources that we have.
alin could redshirt and be the guy after that

Your point being? Ishmael is in year 1 of 4. Long is in year 1 of 4. If Long is the QB for the rest of his career, Alin and Ishmael will not be on the field together.

I agree that it is a leap of faith. However, he played his first true freshman game against the No. 1 team in the country. Beat an ACC opponent in his first start and didn't $#!+ himself against one of the best defenses in the country, Clemson. He's got a heck of a lot of confidence and compared to the other QBs I have seen for SU this year, he looks to have the most skill and poise.
People say he has "it". ???? Who knows? I just say he is the best I've seen lately and comparatively, he looks like he could be great.
