The euphoria wore off and life went on as normal, which taught me to appreciate the ride as it’s happening.
. Good times! That was a hell of a fun time celebrating with you after the games JarHead.
I remember you pulled a legendary "walk-off" at about 5:30 AM. I remember you, me, and Jake stopping into (let's call it 'one last') bar after getting slices of pizza, then turning around and you were gone.
I think we were talking about it for about a week after. "What happened to JarHead"?
Was at the dome watching this game on the big screens that they brought in and put on the football field. All the concessions were $1. It was packed and it was amazing. Great idea by SU at the time
Going straight from Bourbon Street to the airport Tuesday AM was a thing.
First time meeting a bunch of these characters, I thought Bees was Paul Bunyon.
Breakfast service on a plane? This has not aged well.Back to the room at 6.
Quick shower, then to the lobby at 7 for the shuttlebus to the airport.
I think I slept maybe 20 minutes on the plane until they came by with breakfast service.
what sucked for our group was we decided to drive. someone had to be back at work Wednesday morning at 8am, so we had to leave that great party at 2am that night to hit the road.Going straight from Bourbon Street to the airport Tuesday AM was a thing.

that's funny. like i said in a prior post, we drove from syracuse. but my brother who lived in nyc flew out of nyc to jackson mississippi and we picked him up there on the way to new orleans. dropped him off there on our way back. think his flight was the 10am one too. small world.By then only way to get there from NYC was to fly to Jackson Miss and drive.
Biggest regret is not spending more time at the Marriott.
My 12 yr old was yelling Hook Em Horns at UT fans as we streamed out of the dome for the walk backIt was a helluva month. Four consecutive weekends:
Big east tourney
Boston
Albany
New Orleans.
The ticket scrambles -
Scalped outside the Garden in NY
Same in Boston
Albany tickets were crazy. Myself and other SU fans buying tickets via phone from opposing team box athletic departments (Auburn?) might be my favorite part of the whole month.
Scalped in New Orleans
Drinking the Marriott Hotel dry Saturday night - well into Sunday Morning - after the Texas win.
Watching a Texas fan absolutely lose his mind leaving the Superdome after Celebrating Syracuse fans were chanting “where’s TJ Ford?”
Final game seats about 15 rows up from where Hakim’s block landed.
The list of memories is endless..

Watched it in my frat house. Cried. Went down to M Street where it was snowing. Went to Maggies.
Good times.
