USC has won 10 games the last two seasons under Helton and yeah I know their fan base is all worked up that their 2-2 starting this year but I think Helton is solid for a couple years

Fan bases of top schools will not have patience for a 3 year rebuild of getting guys “to fit the system”. As others have said it’s a very limited group of schools where he might have an opportunity to land. I don’t think we’ll let money be an issue if push comes to shove. So then he has to look at it as a stepping stone and there are not too many places to step too.

Look at Taggart, he’ll be lucky to survive the year with those lunatics.

Chapel Hill is not lateral IMO.

The schools that pack 100,000 in for games are probably the biggest threats down the road - like Tennessee.

I don't think Dino is really worried about making the huge $$$$. He can certainly get a pay raise here in Cuse but I think what he really struggles with is the lack of the fan base. He looks into the stands and sees 10-15k of empty seats and knows that the fan base has dwindled and will tough to get back. If he goes to a southern school, even a lateral one, they will fill the stadium up and he will have a big advantage. If we don't fill the dome up, we will never be able to retain our coaches.

Oh and if you are Wildhack how do you not listen to Babers and say, "You are right, no way is there going to be AC in the dome." Or they should come out and say, "for football games, there will be NO AC."

Let's be honest, Syracuse CANNOT let Dino go. They need to start ponying up for him and help him be as successful as possible. I think they might have done the analysis already and realize by the amount of seats they have lost... 12k average over 8 games x $15/ticket = 1.4mil and then multiple that by 15yrs and you are looking at a loss of atleast $20mil in lost revenue.

If CUSE is competitive in the game against Clemson and comes home again with only the loss at Clemson and a top 25 ranking, I’m willing to take a guess that the Dome will be PACKED for North Carolina.

Also, if CUSE gets 10+ wins and wins whatever Bowl they get into, the influx of money to the university from said Bowl might be enough for Wildhack to pay up for Dino. Let’s see where this season goes. Dino is a great coach and I think he truly loves the kids he’s coaching and the team he’s building. Plus I’m sure Dino is excited to be playing in a renovated Dome. That could and will be a HUGE recruiting point.

Sometimes I wish I could just tell all the players to read this or that and see there reaction.
