There has definitely been a lot worse NBA picks than CMac getting picked by Billy King with the 29th pick. But, at least CMac got picked in the 1st round after only 16 games at Cuse

Yeah, I'd assume he'll transfer to another school for a big bag at year-end.

donnie travelling with the team is a good sign imo

i really hope it isnt the scenario that hes already out the door but just travelling so he can collect his NIL

if thats the case, I would think the best move is to just cut the cord now

i think he is a good kid and if I had to bet I would say he is back in orange next year

And it is real stupid money. I think about the kids who are struggling to pay tuition while holding down a job and maintaining a 3.0+ GPA at the same time.

These athletes who follow the money to attend three schools in four years are tough to root for and tough for the average Joe to reach down into his pocket for.

Obviously Donnie hasn't explicitly said that but Red's recent comments hint towards that.

Him traveling with the team has no impact on his nil. He is travelling with the team because they are his teammates and would do the same if the roles were reversed.

There’s more to defense than blocked shots. His overall defensive metrics are better than the guys I mentioned.

He's the 7th best defender out of 10 guys on our team, according to advanced metrics.

Thanks. Is he expected to go in the first round based off his potential? If you go off of his stats, they aren't too bad, but if you actually watched him play, he doesn't look good or even remotely ready for the NBA.

I would think he could get better NIL and development elsewhere if he comes back to school. Sadiq and his the same position, maybe we use Donnie’s NIL money elsewhere. He’s probably the only player on our roster who has a chance to “level up” should he choose to transfer. You could probably argue JJ too, and his shots will go down next year. I have a feeling he leaves

If he decides to stay and the team is built around him maybe he sticks. I do think that with Melo coming in and a new roster that staying at SU if the financial side is close makes sense for him. Time will tell but i think that Donnie and the new kid can find the court together.
