Again, that is not true for Lampkin. Lampkin has a DBPM of 1.1. Donnies is .5. He is our best OFFENSIVE player.

Apologies take Lampkin out then. Donnie is still our best overall player. I can't believe people on the board are complaining about him. He was the least of our problems.

Complaining about his defense is a completely reasonable thing! If it goes beyond that I would agree, but he is seriously bad at defense, and it hurt us when he was on the court.

I think Donnie has serious weaknesses with his defense, BUT on a team of weak defenders he wasn't the worst.

I'd be happy if he was back playing, but he's not and the swirling rumors are that we've seen the last of him in a Syracuse uniform, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Play defense is also like an OL. You can get individual grades, but you really need to be coached well and have a competently coached system in place.

We are so bad at defense that I'm not as concerned with individual D because it doesn't really matter.

We were supposed to be an offensive team this year... and, well, JC, Eddie, etc etc.

Part of our defense being bad is the staff, but part of it is that we have several individuals who are just plain bad at defense and would be in any uniform on any team. As of now, Donnie Freeman is one of those individuals. Everyone else being pretty darn bad does not make it any less of a problem.

The team was constructed for offense. Getting Eddie and paying him a ton of money = we were going to be bad at D.

On the list of our issues, Donnie's being bad at D isn't at the top.

You are stomping out a cigarette in the middle of a forest fire with it. it's not an excuse, it's about priorities.
