Exactly. Similar lines of “Chris Bell can play at the next level” talk. Off-season/early season talk for us seems to be always less that accurate shall we say.let's be honest, a person can do a search through the threads on here and see some posts from people connected to the staff and fanning the flames of some of those expectations.
So, so similar to Chris McCullough: 5-star, physique, game, injury. Chris played 16 games, Donnie 14 - quite unfortunate.
I’ll say this, maybe it was me, it always seemed like Donnie had a weird walk and gallop during games. I know him injuring his foot was something else, but I know some of you had to see it. Wonder if it was a build up to the injury. Never seemed right even from the first game. I didn’t see it in practices though, just games. Almost no one on this team plays good D. Which makes me think it’s partly on the players, but also partly on the coaching. And I lean towards putting more blame on the latter.yeah but that takes dedication. A lot of his issues are lack of trying on defense. He does really good on o so i know he is capable but being lazy on defense doesnt look good for his at all. If i wanna be a one and done then i am hustling my butt doing everything full speed. His lack of ambition hurts him. If he played at Duke he wouldnt play much not cause he isnt good enough. Its effort and thats all and when he sees that he will be an animal. Has all the talent.
Yup. I believe it was the second or third game of the year when I noticed it.I’ll say this, maybe it was me, it always seemed like Donnie had a weird walk and gallop during games. People mentioned it during the game threads. That he had a hitch/limp in his gait. I always assumed that was related to his injury but maybe that wasn’t true.I’ll say this, maybe it was me, it always seemed like Donnie had a weird walk and gallop during games. As Chris Carlson and Brent Axe said on their show last week, it’s about development. Players need to play to get better. And the only way he’s going to get drafted is to keep improving. You’re not going to get better sitting on the sideline. You don’t want your skills to atrophy. If he’s cleared to play and there’s no risk of injury, he should play.I seriously doubt he plays again this year. Why would he? What does he gain? If he isnt practicing if he is still 100% in the boot he comes back for what 6 games at best. If he does come back is it to prove to another college or the NBA that he is good to go so he can get the best bag?
Or Door #3.Looks like he's headed for the draft or the portal.

i believe one post said if Freeman averaged 10 pts and 5 boards, we wouldn’t miss Brown a bitlet's be honest, a person can do a search through the threads on here and see some posts from people connected to the staff and fanning the flames of some of those expectations.
