Don't just look at 0-4

you are what your record says you are.

You are what you eat. So far today, I'm a bowl of raisin bran.

The Parcells quote isn't absolute. But maybe it is in this case. Losing to Jacksonville State, at home, on the game's final play, is really bad.

Solid start to the day with the raisin bran. I am a piece of gas station breakfast pizza

Don't care what the FSU record is I have trouble seeing our offense win this game.

It can be difficult to imagine, I tend to agree. It has to be kind of an ugly game and turn into a rock fight.

Seems like we have 1,000 ways to lose, one way to win

FSU has a dynamic back and some athletes on defense. They ran into a bit of bad luck, but they could easily be 3-1 with a win against ND instead of 0-4. Just some perspective in case things don't go our way on Saturday.

And if the queen had ballz, she'd be the king.

We could easily be 4-0, too.

yup and based on interviews, it seems like Babers would be content to run repeatedly...even if its into a brick wall.

I have to think that’s part of Dino’s smoke and mirrors game.

I think he’s smart enough to know FSU is going to be keying on Sean the whole game and that we’re gonna have to mix it up and not send him to the slaughter every down.

Don't buy that for a second. Will he lean on his best player? Who wouldn't. But, he knows damn well that SU can't win without a passing game.

From the Hall of Hackneyed Clichés and just in case it hasn't been said:
"Florida State is the best 0-4 team in the country."

Watch this game be the 'universe' where Shrader comes out firing and goes something like 17-24 for 310 yards and four TD, and rushes another 9 times for 105 yards and a score.

All week we have been harping (most likely correct) that we can't pass enough to win the game.

Then chaos will happen lol
18 yards per pass? Wow, that seems unlikely but would be nice.

ON defense...is L'ville suppose to be that good?
Against FSU 6 sacks and 1 pick.

I feel your lack of confidence in the offense. However, against liberty we really seemed to have a game plan and Dino stuck with it. The defense won the game but the offense didn't make bad mistakes, either. We should be competitive but think the game plan won't be the same, nor perhaps the playmakers on the field. How will Dino et al. choose to play against FSU?

The OL seems mostly competent and kudos to coach Schmidt, but we need to address OUR weaknesses while trying to take advantage of Theirs. Can Shrader keep the chains moving if he has to pass? Can we play well on the road? Can we execute on offense at critical moments? Shrader did well as a runner,, but can he move the ball through the air, or is this more of a Tommy game? No matter how we get the ball in Tucker's hands, he's our best weapon though we can't push him so hard every game without consequence. I'm hopeful we can grind out a win and move to 4-1. Play with discipline, win the turnover game, and be competent in the field position battle. Really hoping the coaches can play well enough to win...

They have a very good edge pass rusher in Jermaine Johnson.
If he lines up over Vettorello..."little help!!??"

It's not enough to throw the ball. Your receivers have to catch it. That remains a problem. A QB who's weakness is passing combined with a receiving corp that drops too many balls suggests we'd better be able to run the ball to have a puncher's chance.
