Little guy at the end of the bench. You'll see him hyping the team when you go to the live games.I don’t even know who he is. I would love to notice that!

Whatever Autry did seemed to work. So please……..don’t coach the team.It kills me that Red does not call a timeout when something inexcusable happens. There was a sequence in the first half where George lost focus and his man got two consecutive easy looks in transition. The old JB would’ve called an immediate TO to have a few words that would make nuns weep.
It’s great that Freeman was assertive and called George out here, but cmon Red, that’s your job. Nice guys who are successful in this business are extremely rare for a reason.
you can see when he goes against equal height or taller players he runs into difficulties..starts hagning out on the perimeterThis might be nitpicking, but I still think Donnie plays a bit soft. I thought early in the game he was settling too much and he needs to average more than 4.7 rebounds a game against good teams.
most?Good post. Red and staff have done a great job putting this team together. We've got a solid chance to play with most of our schedule.
The one thing that makes me feel that this can be a very good team, is they want to play defense. The teams that can play defense are almost always good teams. Good defense always travels well even when shots aren't falling. Good defense keeps you in games and allows you to win when the offense isn't playing well. That’s great.
“Well-coached team, “ lol.
I feel good about this SU team also.
But let’s see what they do against a “well-coached team” that has players.
JJ had better be like a senior Duany was on the Championship team, totally unselfish. He started every game and played a lot of minutes but knew that in crunch time Billy had to be in the game.Anthony is coming off the bench. It's been said that he's on the Two Year Plan. As long as he gets his 20 minutes a game, it will be fine. JJ is a senior. He's going to start. How long he plays is up to him. But he has to be much better than he's shown.

Teams that can govern themselves have the most success. It kills me that Red does not call a timeout when something inexcusable happens. Amen! Everything begins and ends there. Defense wins championships in all sports with little exception. The one thing that makes me feel that this can be a very good team, is they want to play defense. I would push back a little.. I think there are times to call the TO, however (especially early in the season) there are times coach needs to see how the team responds, see if they can work thru it. If they do, becomes a marker. It kills me that Red does not call a timeout when something inexcusable happens. There was a sequence in the first half where George lost focus and his man got two consecutive easy looks in transition. I think the "structure" is what is important. Coaches use plays for situations but if you develop a "thinking" team" to run structures, read sets and react to matchups; I don't think you need to run as many plays. Just my opinion on it.Yeah I have finished fighting this battle with other posters and fans .. TBH offense structure can be hard to see if it doesn’t produce every time and I am not sure fans can recognize the differences of offense. (Continuity, secondary, transition, sets and quick hitters)
They do, as well as the coaches. I think the biggest thing; they allowed Red to focus more on the coaching part.Rob Harris and Alex Kline deserve a lot of credit for this teams transformation.
I'll once again mention the soon to be famous Harris sideline celebrations. The dude is a madman. His body language is hilarious. It's no wonder the kids are more intense than in the past.
It was well designed and well executed. We should do more of it.Not much talk about the baseline out of bounds play that Kyle dunked. Excellent screening and misdirection.
We had multiple effective out of bounds plays and a first half bucket at the buzzer. Not much talk about the baseline out of bounds play that Kyle dunked. Excellent screening and misdirection.
I agree .. Thus far I think we have a high IQ and skilled team .. thru the 3 games the only guy that forces shots to me is Donnie and I guess we need to deal with it with him coming back to school and trying to prove himself to NBA .. He is trying to improve his game but gets to ball dominate.. KA forced a little more in this game but but I still think he is a a creator and shot make like his dad and I can accept his shots .. Overall KA Seems high IQ and skilledI think the "structure" is what is important. I agree and hear you re the half court offense. That problem has lingered since the 90’s for these teams. We had multiple effective out of bounds plays and a first half bucket at the buzzer.
There are signs of good coaching.
The other thing that really stands out to me is the moving of the feet defensively with hands high not reaching. I’m not sure I saw that much at all last year. You see it every defensive possession now. Betsy. Donnie and Kingz specifically.
I still have concerns about the half court offense. But we’re steps ahead of any of our teams in a while..
I don’t even know who he is. I would love to notice that!
