Ok now do DukeI'm worried that narrative might be accurate. Transitive properties being what they are, Clemson hasn't beaten anybody, and some of the teams they lost to are questionable.
LSU beat Clemson, two tomato cans and 1-3 Florida.
Georgia Tech beat Clemson, 2-2 Colorado and two tomato cans.
Syracuse beat UConn and Colgate.
So, Clemson has a 1-3 record against teams whose victories against teams not named Clemson are 8-1, but with only two legit victories LSU vs. Florida and Georgia Tech @ Colorado.
And you know what? I'm not sure I'm fully willing to count Florida and Colorado as quality wins. They have lost to everybody but their own tomato cans.
Clemson might just be terrible and we're not sure yet if we really did something impressive by beating them... They might just be this year's version of Florida State.
Ok now do Dukeand don’t forget an assessment of their defense.
Personally I can’t get over that Tulane QB running for 4 TDs on them.
Our bad loss to Tenn in hostile territory just does not feel as bad especially when they had Georgia beat 3 times before choking it away in OT. Dukes similar scenario saw them lose to Illinois at their place by the same margin except that same Illinois team turned out to be hot garbage getting 60 dropped on them by Indiana.
This way of describing a football game is quite unpleasant.Duke is 2-2 and only beat NC State because Bailey forgot which team to throw to ... 3 times. NC State looked wretched against Wake Forest who beat Kennesaw State by a single point. I don't get the Duke love affair ... didn't think much of them last year when they had a Charmin soft schedule and watched Ole Miss run a train on them in a bowl game.
As someone who was driving a motor vehicle and struck by a train and walked away I can tell you it is very unpleasant. This way of describing a football game is quite unpleasant.
I had season tickets during the entire GROB era. I’ll call it a tieAs someone who was driving a motor vehicle and struck by a train and walked away I can tell you it is very unpleasant.

Syracuse moneyline at +180? I want a piece of that
Other than Fran being the hottest coach out there, no credit at all.
It’s four games in, it doesn’t matter what the chatter is.
If they get through Duke, SMU, Pitt 6-1, then we can get worked up.
Are people overlooking Louisville?

Fran's only the hottest coach out there on this message board. No talking heads on the football shows ever mention what he's done or mention him to replace anybody.
They also never mention Angeli ever, you'd never know he's in 2nd in the nation in passing yards (after playing Tennessee and Clemson). They've talked about a lot of QBs never what Angeli had been doing.

Urban Meyer Names The 'Hottest Coach In College Sports' In 2025
There's no shortage of rising coaches in college football currently, but there's one in particular that's caught Urban Meyer's (and a lot of others) eye. Fresh off of an upset win over Clemson in Death Valley, the Syracuse Orange effectively ended the Tigers' season with their 34-21 victory on...sports.yahoo.com
It would be pretty shocking if a second year head coach, coaching as a head coach for the first time, garnered that kind of attention. But point taken we are irrationally gaga over Fran (until it turns out the cult thinking was right all along and we were never actually irrational in our beliefs)Fran's only the hottest coach out there on this message board. I'd also point out that Fran Brown was a position coach two years ago. I think the football world is in a wait and see pattern with his coaching. It would be pretty shocking if a second year head coach, coaching as a head coach for the first time, garnered that kind of attention. I don't disagree that Clemson might not be very good but then GT shouldn't be getting half the love they're getting. ACC radio says the top 3 are Miami, FSU and GT.
Virginia gets a lotta love to. We'll see tonight.
I think Clemson is good but 2 close games didn't bounce their way and then they came out flat against us and got punched. Now the wheels might come off as dissension grows. The talent and coaching is there to beat anyone
The talking heads on the ACC radio are very biased to the schools from VA to FSU.I don't disagree that Clemson might not be very good but then GT shouldn't be getting half the love they're getting. ACC radio says the top 3 are Miami, FSU and GT.

Wasn't he a slight favorite vs Fran last year in the Dome?IMHO I think the reason they get the "love" they get is they don't have true What losses under Key where they were favored and totally just choked. I saw a stat that said since he took over the program Key leads the country in wins when the underdog and does well against the spread as well.
So you were struck by the little engine that could? Did it tickle?I had season tickets during the entire GROB era. I’ll call it a tie
Yes ... didn't say his record was perfect but if I recall he has the best ATS record since he took over as head man. I'll see if I can find it.Wasn't he a slight favorite vs Fran last year in the Dome?
Georgia tech was -3 favorite.Wasn't he a slight favorite vs Fran last year in the Dome?

The funny thing is I have never heard the 10 second school promo jingle during commercial breaks for Cuse ever on the Sirius ACC station...tells you something.
Either SU is asleep at the wheel or they like pumping their annoited schools
