Duke Gets Blown Out By Miami...

Well there are only 25 of them that are ranked, so that kind of narrows things down.

You said it would be an exception if SU was ranked int he top 25 and not a 5 or 6. 3 of the 8 teams that were on the 5/6 line last year weren't ranked. None of the last 4 teams in the top 25 were either a 5 or 6. The committee simply doesn't look at the rankings when they seed teams. They've said it over and over again.

First of all, they SAY they don't look at rankings, but that is difficult to believe.

Secondly, that aside, the committee does look at factors that ultimately decide the rankings, like strength of schedule & W/L record.

Thirdly, looking SPECIFICALLY at the Syracuse situation, they have lost recently to highly ranked teams, which would not reflect poorly on their standing with the tourney committee. So, if you look at their ranking at this time, I find it very difficult to believe the committee would seed them at odds with their present rank. How many sub 25 ranked teams did CUSE lose to this season?

'Nova?
Temple?
UCONN?

None of those are bad losses either.

This 8/9 seed talk does not fit the resume of this team. Not even CLOSE !!!

I bet those teams you mentioned with the lower seed than ranking probably lost games to lower ranked teams, & the committee will seed them based on that situation.

Lets just hope the Committee dosn't use an eye test more than raw numbers (flawed often) when they give us our seed. There are Committee members sent to watch teams. The slop we're displaying is not good.
