I would have predicted SU -3 or -3.5 at home.
VT was without 21 players and there entire starting secondaryDon't be fooled by brices INT's, I haven't seen all of them but the one this week wasn't his fault and at least one the week before wasn't either. Their WR's struggle to get separation but he'll take a hit to make a throw, moves pretty well, doubt they'll get much space against our secondary, duke -2-3 is probably fair.
What exactly has Duke shown YTD such that they’d be favored by ~3 on a neutral field?
Because that’s what a road pick-em is saying.
I get that we’re not great.
But - how/why is Dook supposedly a little less not great?
Are you saying we got outplayed last week and didn't deserve to win? Not quite sure you've made that point clear yet. What's factored in with the pros making the lines is the way we won last week and the way we lost the 2 weeks prior. Some on this board refuse to recognize the #s but rather focus on the final score. Pro line makers dont factor in turnovers, the play from the LOS.

Could we hold Notre Dame to 27 points in South Bend?
By the numbers, we did, we were +5 in turnovers. We were beat from the LOS.
I remember UConn fans saying this stuff to us in, I think, 2004. We would have beat you if not for our QB throwing 5 INTs.
At the time, it was adorable, because they were so new to it all. Like a baby saying their first words.
