I don't think this is true. Fran created his own resources. He built his own NIL pipeline.

Red didn't do that.

But I'm sure this summer he'll crush it. He has a plan.

Team has absolutely no direction on either end of the court. With very few exceptions that has been the case in every game all season. How to right the ship next year? Hopefully Freeman returns and teams with White and Anthony. Then we get a solid PG and center through the portal. Then the big question is do we retain Autry who has not shown much this year. 10 games ago I was leaning yes. Now I am leaning no.

Not sure why my topic got booted but i think its a very fair conversation to have: if Melo is going to be a player in NIL he would likely also be a player in basketball funding and he should be the answer to the buyout concerns. That is, unless his expected contributions are being overstated

First game ever that I have intentionally missed. Recorded it, in case i read that it was competitive, but it’s really hard to watch something you love get destroyed by something you ‘hate.’

My favorite play of the game was when Brown had a clear path to the hoop but kicked it out to a teammate instead. His teammate pump faked the defender who was closing out, drove to the hoop, and dumped it off to Brown, who had NO CHOICE to do something other than dunk the ball, one of approximately 27 Duke flushes on the night.

I didn't watch the game but 54 points with 10 from McCleod does not appear to be a winning formula.

He was throwing things down and had the angriest block he's ever had. Felt like the backboard could have been hurt and the ball was lucky to not explode at the moment of contact. It was a sight to see.

Watching Brown easily out hustle Bell for a rebound that Bell should’ve had in his sleep was a new kind of basketball hell that I didn’t know existed.
This season has made me numb, which in the short term is a good thing, but for someone who loves Syracuse basketball as much as I do it’s shocking and sad.

We'll all be numb until a clean break is made. That should have happened in 2023, but instead the can got kicked down the road, and the program has declined even further.

feels like a certain section of the fanbase and our staff and administration missed on just about everything.

and, no, it doesn’t feel good. It makes me sick.
the sooner we move on, the better. otherwise, those “20 win nit bid seasons” will be the new ceiling

We blew it in the offseason. Dumping Brown to sign Lampkin while playing McLeod hardly at all this season without using those dollars to go after a PG is the primary reason we suck. The worst part of that is a lot of us saw this coming last April.
