You definitely do not need to have your device connected to the internet at all times. I can still play my PS5 with no internet connection, I just can't play in online mode, obviously.

I could be wrong but I think almost every device now needs to be connected to the internet.

Even if you aren’t playing “online” you’re playing online.

Also, it is just starting with ‘26. I believe it will need to be the 2026 version.

Unless I misread it, he was saying that your device needs to be connected to the internet at all times in order to play, even if you aren't playing in online mode. That's not correct. I can disconnect my internet and still play all of my installed games in offline mode.

I think he means for EA Sports to track what team you play as, it needs to be connected online to be counted. If you prefer offline solo dynasty (which is how I play) if your system is still connected online, they can track it. If your system is not online they can’t track it.

Online/not online should not impact your ability to play the game

I downloaded NCAA 26 tonight. Playing as Jeff Nixon.

First series on defense, force a fumble and the crowd gave a Lets Go Orange chant. That was great. Also very specific commentary about last season, Fran and McCord. That’s just 2 minutes in. I’m sure that will end up being repetitive, but it’s pretty cool to hear. The chanting is really neat. It actually made the play even more exciting.

I have found the offense to be a little more of a struggle this year. Not sure if its me, the talent, or general gameplay but I am not moving the ball as well. Willis is really good and the Defense is strong.

It is a fun game and there is more Orange-focused commentary in the game. I paid the extra $30 and although silly, it was worth it this week (no kids around, lots of time in the evening).

I also lost Villari for the season to a broken tailbone in the game against UConn

Really struggling with the offense and getting used to the playbook. I used UConn's basically the entire time playing the old game because my first dynasty started as UConn's OC. Tried playing freshman and it was just way too easy and boring.

Just reading comments, the AI is much smarter and will defend your favorite plays much better than 25.

Glad its not just me or Angeli. The passing game is a lot harder. I need to practice the RPO plays. Feel like that's a big part of offense and I am not good at them
