EA Sports is bringing back College Football video game

Glad its not just me or Angeli. The passing game is a lot harder. I need to practice the RPO plays. Feel like that's a big part of offense and I am not good at them
I'm having a hard time getting the timing down with all the pre-snap motion we run. I actually love the playbook, it's so much more complicated than the UConn one, but just need to get used to it.

I really need to practice the RPO. Every time I try I get sacked for a 9 yard loss.

I had a hard time the first couple games and then I started feeding Villari and Cook the ball and that helped. Then Villari dislocated his ankle so now I’m trying to find someone other than Cook. Really like the adjusted lighting for game’s transitioning from evening to night.

Sounds like you're playing with a Dino mod.

Really struggling with the offense and getting used to the playbook. I used UConn's basically the entire time playing the old game because my first dynasty started as UConn's OC. Tried playing freshman and it was just way too easy and boring.

Just reading comments, the AI is much smarter and will defend your favorite plays much better than 25.

So far AI also is more realistic when you go misdirection after having success with a specific go to play.

I'm actually dead, saw this on Twitter.

Lost a heartbreaker to Clemson. Tried running the clock down but scored too early to tie things up at 20. Gave them a minute to get into FG range and they scored.

Pretty excited to get this when I get back from vacation next week.
Play a ton of 25 and it seems like they’ve made solid upgrades this year

I’ve gotten used to gameplay, and some of the other quirks. It does feel more realistic in some ways. Especially player movement and the way players fall forward or run back to the ball to catch. I really dislike the recruiting, it’s much more difficult. Reading online it seems the transfer portal is also devastating for low level teams. But in that sense, it’s very realistic in terms of trying to build a Sun Belt team into a national championship contender.

Running a lot harder. I think passing is a little bit easier because please develop more slowly so it’s easy to kind of look at more than one receiver.

Currently sitting at 5-1 and just entered the top 25 at #25 after my bye.

I see they did not fix the sea of blue seats.
Nope. It would be simple, they have the turquoise blue seats for hard rock stadium in the game. Just darken the shade. Still the old pews look in 26'

My first few games, I see a small drop off on offense passing. But it loves Cook and Gill

The D is faster

So far not struggling on D nearly as much, not scoring on offense as much. Many less blown coverages.

But given I am old I only play like at Varsity level

Every game has been tight. Beat Tenn both times I played that game.

Starting a dynasty soon, but I hate the recruiting stuff, there should just be a mode where you play the season and skip all the nonsense if you don't want to do that.

I have found the offense to be a little more of a struggle this year. Not sure if its me, the talent, or general gameplay but I am not moving the ball as well. Willis is really good and the Defense is strong.

It is a fun game and there is more Orange-focused commentary in the game. I paid the extra $30 and although silly, it was worth it this week (no kids around, lots of time in the evening).

I also lost Villari for the season to a broken tailbone in the game against UConn

That’s a shame, Villari is an absolute stud in my offense.

Couple things I noticed and Liked/disliked.

1.) Syracuse’s team got absolutely Nerfed this year. Not sure if EA is just toning down player ratings, to make things a bit more challenging and realistic? Maybe to demonstrate talent disparities and make it harder (which honestly, I like) or because they valued last seasons roster over this season (which I think is fair), or maybe a bit of both. However, we’re ranked (by overall) 2nd to last in the ACC. Not sure I would take Wake Forests roster over ours LOL.

2.) I rocked with Ricky Collin’s over Angeli, just a preference thing. I value speed at the QB position. Collin’s over throwing a ton of players, which was frustrating, then he got hurt, and Angeli did similar things (not as often). Then I realized that’s way more realistic then those ridiculous over the back CB interceptions from last years game. How many times have we seen WRs (in college football in general) running down the field wide open and get over/under thrown? I messed with sliders a bit to get where I think it was a bit more realistic but I appreciate the nuance.

3.) Love that I can control my EXP per player. Takes longer but worth it.

4.) Was annoyed that I couldn’t play Samuels at WR and CB, so in the offseason I went to switch his position to WR and noticed he had a higher OVR as a RB… He’s a STUD. If you’re looking for a fun way to utilize him, make him a back. Upgrade his speed a bit, and utilize him in the receiving game as a RB.

5.) I want both Malachi’s and I want their speed at 99… figure it out EA.

6.) What is that annoying animation on deep balls where the defender breaks up the pass and the receiver flips the ball backwards like their the Bride tossing the flowers at a wedding? Hate that. Stop it.

7.) Why can’t I flip commits? Seems like a silly thing to miss. Should be an option to flip on signing day for a lot of spend. Though, I did have a transfer running back that signed with another team, show up on my roster at the start of the season? Was that a flip or a glitch? If it was flip, show an animation so I know he’s there.

There’s still a ton that can be added, which is exciting for future editions but I love that they made this years game a bit harder, more realistic.

Recruiting is hard enough without adding flips into the equation.

Had the #37 class on my first signing day. Seemed realistic. But not sure what my strategy will be moving forward.

On 25 I would start everyone on my board with the family call and then either hard sell or send the house. Now the hard sell isn't as great because we don't have a ton of green. I think next season I'm going to wait until week 3 and then just start sending the house and setting up visits.

I whiffed on recruits but cleaned up on transfers.

How many transfers out did you have? I keep going back and forth seeing if I want to limit transfers or let chaos rule.

I brought in 8 transfers. The talent level with what I had was so much greater I couldn’t resist. Bumped up my team overall to 84.

I should finish season 1 tonight. Avenged my loss to Clemson in the ACC championship and have @ Michigan in the first round of the playoffs. I hate how the game lowers your ratings in the postseason because I think I'm down to 77.

I had a first round playoff game at Nebraska, in the snow. That was pretty fun and then lost the next round against Georgia. Was hard to matchup against them with such a higher team overall.

I limited the chances of transfers out a bit, not crazy but I definitely dropped the likely hood. I try to be fair when adjusting settings bc I want to make it feel as “real” as possible. I justified it because Fran doesn’t lose a bunch of talent. Outside of Pena, J’Onre, and Watson (also KJE depending on you feel about it) we didn’t lose anything substantial.
