This is strange.
Recruits can't just un-sign their NLI and sign a new NLI with a new team.

Here is an example of a JUCO who signed last week, during the JUCO singning period, but didn't want to announce until he was back home.

Could be some kids aren't announcing because they want a signing event in February.

Heard Nick Saban whining about the early signing period. It must suck for him to not swoop in anymore in late January.

It frees up the coaches from babysitting the group that signs early. Long-term this rule will be good for a school like SU

It might have slightly hurt us this year as Cuse becoming relevant again this year they could swoop in on a few more signed kids from lower rated schools who haven't signed yet. Although Dino preaches Ohana and not sure he would over recruit a bunch like SEC schools.

However, long term this rule will be beneficial to the vast majority of schools and coaching staffs in college football.

They need to add a rule to protect kids whose coach leaves if they sign early.
