Totally agree. It’s also a number. No one will confuse him for DC, who played 30 years ago. It’s also the most important number at Cuse. So if someone wants that extra pressure, they should be able to take it on. It’s bigger than any one player.

Yes, please Coleman, jump on the gatekeeping train to continue to push the 44 legacy into background. We already missed out on bringing 44 out for the first All American caliber running back Syracuse has seen in over 20 years, why not ensure it also falls into irrelevance in the sport where it isn't even retired.
