He’s not the DC anymore regardless. He would be good at his new job at Syracuse or LSU.

It’s also the issue of having the demoted coach still around. It’s better for the new DC too. I expected him to move on and honestly hope he does. Sometimes it’s the right move professionally and personally. Elijah is a good guy. Great recruiter. Just wasn’t ready to be a DC.

Well, it was 21-0 before his defense took the field.

People need to realize they're not hiring him away to be DC, nor will he be DC here. So they're hiring him from DL to DL, and it would be a great hire for them and a loss for us on paper.

That said, it's tough to be demoted and he may want a change of scenery. Fair enough, and in that case it's best for all involved. Hopefully he and Fran remain cool and he sends some good players who get stuck on the LSU depth chart our way.

Recruiting is Fran's job. He needs better assistants and a DC that can actually coach and run a defense

He almost has to take the position at this point to rebuild his resume. It was lit on fire this year. No QB didn’t help but defense sucked

Probably a good move for Elijah.

As good of a recruiter he is, we didn’t make any splash defensive line recruit wins. I may be naive but didn’t see the hype.

We brought in 5 DL recruits this week. One being Alex Haskell who is a flat out 4 stud. Not too mention kamron Wilson and Jarius Rodgers at DE. IF E Rob leaves that will hurt from a recruiting standpoint without question. He's an elite D Line coach and even better recruiter, you can't take that away from him.

He might leave to lsu for the money. Probably took a pay cut here. However if he stays Fran will continue to promote him publicly to try to get him a head coaching gig. In the presser Fran talked about Robinson’s management and team building strengths along with being a great dc. Not sure I’d want to place any faith in Kiffin for my future.

Not even close. Dino s first guy was worst. We lost games 75-65. Looked like a basketball score. He couldn’t let them score quick enough.

I love the disclaimer about the recruiting part. Yeah that’s great, but who cares if the defense is the WORST IN THE COUNTRY.

I agree but still say we woulda been mid acc if we had a qb. How many quick interceptions can a defense fight against. Not saying he shoulda stayed just making a point.
