Have had lunch with Ross and spoken to him. Amazing kid. His teammates respected him and he’s every bit the 4 star that such a rankings hype would suggest.

I’d root for this kid if he transferred to PSU or Pitt. He’s a good person and good athlete.

Another unfortunate occurrence that adds to the ever expanding lists of reasons I find it hard to root for syracuse sports and the university lately.

Let’s all start rumors about what may have happened so it can follow this man for his career. He might be a bad guy but if we don’t know, we really shouldn’t be throwing out unfounded allegations even with a disclaimer.

Oh come on... Its been commented that White treated him very bad in some way. Fran fired him mid season even, presumably because of it. Where there is smoke, there is fire. The board has only been vaguely referencing it with zero specifics. There is nothing wrong with what has been stated on here.

Throwing the word “abuse” out there seems a tad bit over the line and purposefully leaves it open to individual interpretation (and not in a good way), no?

All I’m saying is taking vague statements and drawing conclusions from them sets a dangerous precedent.

no, respected people have said SOMETHING happened, one person not respected and another that I quoted used the word abused. (sorry i misread your last sentence but i think it still rings true)

I also said nothing about Ross, im talking about White. Like i said, he might be a bad guy but its pretty damning to use the word abuse and i believe that is why the respected posters haven't said it.

That's exactly what i am saying should be done, its pretty common place to not levy such strong accusations without first hand knowledge. Maybe im just the crazy one who thinks that smearing people with strong accusations and no proof is a bad idea, even on a fan board.

Whatever it was White did, it got him fired in-season, something the previous season with the performance of the special teams coach not getting fired, was shown to not be how Fran believes in operating. So whatever White did must have been pretty extreme.

Bingo…you think any parent would let their child come back no matter what Fran did or said. Wasn’t for a lack of trying to make him want to come back. There are a lot of guys who are being flat out told that they are not wanted and to find a new school. It’s the nature of the business now but Ross deserves better he’s a great kid and shouldn’t have had to deal with the stuff he had to go through.
