Depends on how many more times Ennis scores 28 pts in a game this year. If it becomes his average, it was nice knowing you Tyler.
You're insane. Fair is a first rounder (far better than kj) and grant is off the charts.
I don't know about lottery . . . as AZOrange noted in another thread, he is reminiscent of Hakim Warrick, who despite being a 20/10 machine and a consensus All American ended up outside the lottery as a mid-first round pick. Jerami has NBA level athleticism, but that alone doesn't make him an NBA player.Grant has NBA [lottery] written all over him.

Had this argument earlier in the year, when someone claimed that Fair, Grant and Ennis were all "NBA locks." None of them are. Prospects, yes, but not locks. In fact, Cooney's quick release and deep range might give him the single best chance on the team to make a future NBA roster.
Melancer46 said:I think Fair is a late 1st rounder at best. Don't really see a place for him in the NBA. His biggest strength is his scoring, but he isn't nearly good enough to be a top 5 scoring option on an NBA team. I think Grant will be a 1st rounder, and potentially lottery pick whenever he declares, but as someone else mentioned, he's extremely raw still. I think he'll carve out a niche as a face-up PF. His handles are good enough for that, and he's definitely athletic enough for that. Needs to bulk up a bit though.
I don't know. He doesn't seem big enough, quick enough or athletic enough to be a long term NBA player. But if you can play PG, you have a great shot at the NBA. I think he's more of a 4 year player because his upside isn't great at all. In fact, he seems like one of those kids that's not going to improve a ton during his time on campus simply because he was ready to contribute and excel immediately (similar to Devendorf, Gmac, etc). Nothing he does will wow NBA scouts so that's why I find it hard to believe he'll be a kid that leaves early.
Fair's shooting % is sending off red flags left and right. He needs to stop being wasteful if he wants to get back into the late first round.
I think he's having a tough time adjusting to be the man. He's forcing it too much. Looks like KrisJo 2.0 out there. But with no one else scoring, he's had to force his offense a bit. I think last night's game was huge, just for the other guys to all have good offensive games together. If they can keep this up, it will allow CJ to go back to just playing his game, and not having to be the whole offense.
Tyler is a much better athlete and player than Jackson was. He's very quick, not sure what player some of you guys are watching.Mark Jackson fits that description very well. Tyler is that style of player, but has to develop the defensive toughness that Jackson had.

Athlete? Perhaps. But player? Let's hold our horses there. Jackson is 3rd in NBA history in assists, after all.Tyler is a much better athlete and player than Jackson was. He's very quick, not sure what player some of you guys are watching.
8 year player
If anyone here thinks he's staying more than 2 years you're crazy. I'm going with one and done. He has virtually perfect point guard skills. He pretty much has no weakness. Those who say he isn't a good athlete are blind. He might just be the best ballhandler on the planet right now.

I would advise Grant to stay in college as long as it takes to get a consistent 3-point jump shot. Being drafted is one thing. Actually playing in the NBA is another! If Grant stayed all four years and really developed his outside shot he would be a top 5 pick. I think if he leaves after this year he will get drafted but he would probably have a short NBA career like most guys who enter the draft early.
Just curious on thoughts around the board on this. I just am stumped on whether he's a 4 year guy or maybe a 2 and done guy. Usually I can see a player and say "that guy has what it takes and has the talent, ability, potential to be an NBA player". Ennis, he is just a very soothing point guard who looks like he's always in control which makes me enjoy his game. But does he have the shot, size, speed to be an NBA player? I'm 50/50 on it.
He's much faster and quicker than Edelin. He's a good athlete with a very high basketball IQ, and poised beyond his years. I would say he's better than Mark jackson was in college. I also think that's a poor comparison as I don't see them as at all similar players. He's not really quick... he is very smart and crafty. Kind of like Edelin.
There is a huge difference b/w jeff teague and tyler ennis.
