Epic meltdown when it counted once again

No excuses. But it would help if his teammates (ahem Cole) told him how much time was left on the clock, to take a breath and call timeout. Or if the coach called a timeout. JB was too busy complaining about the “no call” on Jimmy’s shot.

Guy is in his 20s, third year here, and has played in a zillion close games. No excuse.

Unfortunately this is who they are.

Yeah, that's about what it looked like.

Oh, ok, it's Cole's fault. Not Jimmy, not Joe.

What, do you write Boeheim's press conferences for him??

JB placed the blame on Joe. He said Joe saw someone open but JB was honest and said there wasn’t and Joe was wrong.

Joe rushed that play.
Jimmy not fouling and allowing the time to run off and then FSU to get a dunk was very poor preparation for end game basketball.

Jimmy’s fault for not fouling. JB’s fault for not calling timeout after the hoop. Joe’s fault for just chucking the ball to nobody and not calling timeout or inbounding it to…somebody.

All 3 completely botched that. Crazy to see something screwed up that badly at this level by guys who have about as much experience as players and as a coach as you can have.

I don’t know if JB had time to call a TO before Girard chucked it. Unlike Colgate, Georgetown, UVA, Miami, and Wake, I can’t really put this one on the coach.

After watching it 10 times, I’m thinking maybe Jimmy thought someone else was going to help and trap the player and get a jump or turnover, which actually isn’t a horrible idea. But with the clock and all of Florida st running towards their basket and our entire team except Joe standing still it didn’t work. Regardless Jimmy should’ve fouled.

Which is more of an indictment on JB. There was only 8 seconds left, no one else was looking to double or trap except Jimmy. . That needed to be discussed in the huddle

Heard the end on the radio and cackled like the joker. Laugh or cry at this point
