I have been so upset with the political and social approach that pro sports have taken. I watched about five minutes of an NBA playoff game a while back and noticed no names on jerseys and having all kinds of different slogans on them. Then there were all the court graphics. Couldn't watch it. I really feel such things as religion, sports, etc. should be kept clear of political stuff. I for one have used sports as a way to get away from the political BS over the past four years or so.

However, I am fully aware of the movement and don't really oppose what is trying to be accomplished. I just think pro athletes can get media attention anytime they want on an individual basis to express their views. Just don't force it on the viewers during the broadcast of a game.

Getting into amateur athletics was inevitable I guess. The approach taken here with having "equality" on the jerseys, in addition to the names, is a more reasonable approach and I do not really have a problem with it. After all, it is 2020 and the world is different in so many ways.

Equality isn’t political.
