Eric Dungey is one tough SOB

Nobody's concerned with his 45% completion percentage the last 2 games ?
You seriously can't help yourself can you?

Without ED we wouldn't have a chance. Because our OL is so young and raw, his athletic ability allows us to adlib and make something out of nothing. Apparently that doesn't matter to you because TD is red shirting and you've got your panties in a bunch acting like a petulant child.

Let me ask you this: Why did your son's stats suffer his senior year?

I remember you mentioning that his OL sucked and it effected the entire offense. I wonder why ED isn't afforded the same analysis from you?

Finally, over the last few games, between offensive possessions, I've noticed TD sitting next to Eric taking it all in. It appears he is a great team mate and eager to learn everything he can. Personally, I find it refreshing that he's bought in and is so supportive. Obviously, he must have inherited this admirable trait from his mom.

care taker love your honesty and passion for your kid. I had a nice talk with you at the MSTU game. We both shared things that I wouldnt share with anyone else, because I respect you. I can definitely see some of the things you told me. What I just want you to understand is that Eric is someone's kid. Your kid is on the same team and should be supportive of him and vice versa. Parent should be the same way IMO. On a thread that is pointing out Eric efforts to help win games, you chose to be negative. That's not cool. TD will be a good QB and he will have bad games here and there. I want to see if you will be on these boards when he does. Are you gonna be okay with people being negative when TD's giving it all he got for the team?

Uh my son threw for more yards his sr season than his jr year with less . Ed is a player no doubt I'm just pointing out we need more completions this isn't a pro style offense we play easy pitch and catch we need to score more points of course all the evil people think I'm killing ED I'm not . Once again our running game is our short passing game that's were we need to be efficient.

Sometimes i think the short sideline passes are better thrown to Dontae and Moe, and used to free erv and ravian over the middle and ish literally wherever we can get him the ball. Takes often three defenders to actually get dontae down. He has wiggle and good balance while Moe has explosiveness

ED is the team leader. Tommy Gun is probably going to make the NFL as a result of the foundation Eric is laying. By the time TD "how appropriate" takes over we will have a much better Oline and Skill players surrounding him providing your son with the tools that will allow him to showcase his.

These two years are a blessing for him.

People on the gambling forum that I partake in love Dungey. They know minimal about Cuse Football, but think he's one of the toughest kids they have ever seen. The Favre reference gets thrown around a lot. He is absolutely respected by many in CFB, and deservedly so.

Eric just wants to win so damn bad. I'd go to war with him. He fights his own battles against the D. Wish he had some backup sometimes, but he does his own thing and doesn't even need it. He's gonna get a bowl game, and follow it up with a senior year where these games end up as a W.

I’ll make sure my son reads this

Hard to imagine, 278 through the air with 2 TD passes, 109 rushing and another TD, 1 pick. Yet HeS playing poorly, 45% yadda yadda. Unbelievable.

We need Boeheim to give a without Dungey presser.

90% of teams would kill for Dungey. Jimbo Fisher, think he’d want Dungey?

Oh, c’mon. He played his guts out and made plays. He’s a warrior and gives us the best chance to win. I’ll go to bat for this kid any day of the year. I’m 100000% in on ED.

But - he threw more untimely INT and his % hasn’t been good enough to close out two teams with superior talent. It’s a testament to him and the team that we had chances in the 4th Q.

But he can (and has been) better. It’s not sacrilegious to say so.

Are you saying he can’t play better!?!?

Edit: And he’d say the same thing about himself. That’s part of what makes him great.

Of course he can play better. Who can’t. But it’s hard to imagine considering the stats he’s putting up now. That would mean about 500 yards passing a game and who knows what else. Would be a heisman shoe-in and probably go down as a college hall of famer.

I’d be happy if all the other kids on the team played better.

Being a successful QB is more than a completion rate and stats.

Kid is a winner.

And Bosco stunk last year.

Winning > Stats.

That’s fine. My point was that 1 or 2 less INT and a few more completions would have won us both games. And that it’s more likely now that the talent will be more even.

I expect ED, Ish and Erv to eat in the next few games.

One of the key first downs that Dungey picked up yesterday was a designed run. The WR on the left side (who will go unnamed) completely whiffed at his block. Dungey picked up the long first down anyway. It's a team game. And Dungey is doing more than his part.

If Dungey doesn’t miss an entire quarter I think we win. Mahoney couldn’t move the ball at all. Funny people were clamoring for him earlier in the year.

One play from the state championship playing the 8th hardest schedule out of 16000 teams with a new O line wasn't bad

The guys at work always talk sports on Monday. Knowing Im a SU fan, the first thing they always mention is Dungey and they have know interest in SU football.

After years and years of watching SU football, Dungey is easily in consideration for my favorite player of all time. I think the GMac comparisons are apt. At a time when SU is trying to climb back up to relevance we have a guy who fights for every first down, and combined with Babers' system, has made SU a topic of conversation again. That's unusual for a non-Top 25 team. It's important that SU gets to a bowl game this year to stay in the discussion of CFB. Right now Dungey is the heart of this team. Wins will come. As someone else pointed out, Dungey is doing the heavy lifting while SU builds talent, speed and depth enough to compete again. #2 Has big shoes.

Eric Dungey will forever have my respect and admiration. His embrace of unrealistic expectations and insurmountable odds amidst times of unprecedented transition in this program have paved a path for studs like TD to step in and start slapping around the ACC. Dungey’s the hammer and anvil, and Devito will be our shiney cool sword.

i'm hoping he can become bill hurley. not there yet . tough as nails and a winner.
