Euro 2020

Insigne in the central attacking midfield role has opened everything up for Italy.

Edit - he’s switching between center striker & CAM.

Should be a fun wide open finish

What is this, a return to the dark ages of late 70s/80s soccer hooliganism?

If anyone is looking for a good read from that era, Among the Thugs is a fascinating book. A deep dive into the firms with a sociological view that tries to answer the “why.” The author describes some brutal violence he witnessed; I hope it isn’t trending back in that direction. No place for it, and it certainly isn’t unique to England.

They might get away with it but not a Southgate masterclass.
He’s so predictable with his substitution patterns. Even with creators on the bench he goes conservative and seemingly happy with PKs.

Although credit to him it has worked out so far and gotten them to this point at the European Championship. Meanwhile I’m on my 5th beer on the couch with my scared-of-the-thunder Golden Retriever on my lap, so maybe he knows a thing or two more than I do.

Maybe.

If you sub out can you not take a penalty kick
Nope only the 11 on the pitch can do the penalties.
Watch the Europa League PK shootout from this year for an amazing one.
Literally all 11 Villarreal players made PKs and Man U lost when their keeper who was their 11th and last player to shoot David De Gea missed and Man U lost 11-10.
