Expectations in Year 1

Since it’s 2026 I expect an immediate turn around if Gmac is the real deal. If Miami can go from 7 to 26 wins and UVA can go from 15 to 30 with new coaches there’s no reason why we can’t expect to win 25 games. I’m not saying it’s going to happen, but a reasonable expectation for me is to go 23-8, win 2 ACC tournament games and at least a game in March next year. We are spending money to win 20 games or sneak in as a bubble team.

my expectations are to be in the top 25 at some point past the New Year, and to make the tournament. I would love a top 6 seed in the ACC tournament too

First year expectation is making the tournament without sweating it out on the bubble. My long term expectation is living in the top 25 and being annually seeded 4 or higher. With the exception of the occasional down year, this is where we were for 35ish years.

But seriously, I want to see:

Top 4 seeds in the ACC tournament.

Solidly in the NCAA tournament with an at large bid, no bubbles no first four.

Playing meaningful games in January.

Makes progress as a team as the season progresses, no regression and quitting.
