Anyone have an idea of what kind of attendance numbers are expected? I don't recall a previous Friday night game to compare to. Could they hit 30 on a weeknight?

Ironically, I expect the crowd at Heinz Field on Saturday (I'll be there with 4 buddies), to be very comparable to the crowd in the Dome tomorrow night.

Really? That few? I would expect a minimum of 25k butts in seats. The scandal could either hurt attendance or boost it. Hard to say. It's not a school night. Biggest game at the dome this early in the season maybe ever? I remember a highly ranked Arizona squad playing in the dome around xmas time in maybe 1995 or so, but this early I can't recall.

It's a Friday night ... some people get home from work ... tired. Decide to watch the game on their 46" flat screen with a cheaper beer or wine in hand ... and its supposed to be cold tonight. I'm going but I don't have a 46" flat screen TV
And I think some people don't go b/c they don't see SU's season really starting until the BE begins.

Florida, even though they are ranked #9 isnt that big of a name. If we played Kentucky then yea place would be a sellout. The guy announcing the Gtown/Alabama game last night said the game could be played in front of 30k, but I dont think he had any actual ticket sale info to say that.

Breen had a funny response to that comment, he kinda laughed, like he was saying 30,000 is an impossible number for a bball game. I kinda got the sense that he didn't know that SU has played before 30,000 before.

Not his fault if true, though, he's an NBA guy, who's college ball exile should end in about 3 weeks.

Just picked up my tix at the Dome ... The nice lady said that there seems to have been a run on tickets this AM so the Dome could be filling fast ... depends if the season ticketholders all show up

Whoa ... just checked ticketmaster and have decided that I am definitely glad that I got my seats last night ... the seats are disappearing very fast ... I am up in nada country and the only available seats are now at least 3 rows behind me ... if season ticketholders show ... definitely 25000+

Arizona was three days before Christmas, so we only got 24,000. That was a fun one; I think they were top-ten.

We had Temple when they were right around #15 exactly 22 years ago tonight when we were #1; that's the earliest in the season we've ever drawn 30,000.
