I think it was Linda that shared her bad experience with an idiot fan. Well I had mine last night in section 321. A person that I can only describe as being demon-possessed and drunk out of his mind began in the middle of the first quarter to continuously curse and spew the worst kind of obscenities imaginable. When my wife and I and those around him told him to stop, it just got worse and worse and worse.

A gentleman sitting next to me went down to talk with the security guard. When the security guard finally reluctantly came up after we begged him to remove this person, he was obviously ill prepared to deal with the situation, said a few polite words and left. After he left, the person just started right back up again doubling down on the filth. Pleading from the crowd ensued again and visit two from the same security guard went the same way as visit one went, but with now more of a slight frown in place of politeness. Same behavior ensues, tripled down this time and a fight almost broke out. A different security guard comes up and talks to him a little more sternly, more like a warning and leaves. Now the whole section was getting into it with the guy. Finally on the fourth visit what looked to be a real policeman made his way up and escorted the person away. All of this lasted an entire quarter, and probably more. We couldn’t watch any football.

My wife and I were honestly afraid to leave the building for fear this person was still around looking to hurt someone. That’s how bad and utterly vile his behavior was.

I know it’s not easy for security to walk the fine line, but we need to do better. It completely impacted the night of our entire section and the stench of his words are still with me.

320 was nice except for some kids who came towards the end and started relentlessly complaining about how they lost $100 because SU couldnt cover.

Syracuse ruined my parlay at Maryland. That's what you get for betting on a game your team is involved in.

I didn't have any issues in section 118. Everyone was nice and pleasant towards one another with the exception of some guys sitting in someone else's seats.

301 was fired up but no jerks unless you count 1 kid in Clemson gear constantly whining that the refs were screwing them.

The gentleman next to me happened to be involved on some sort of athletic committee and told me he has a platform to bring this up to someone that could make change happen. I hope they can do something about this. It needs to change or I will no longer be attending games. You have to feel safe. That has to be a given.

I hated the bathroom trips. Not just because the lines were ginormous but because it was always the collection of everyone in the upper deck who couldn’t handle their alcohol. I don’t usually see much of that in the Dome but last night it was everywhere.

Clemson fan in 311. I tried to strike a balance between cheering and not being obnoxious. Stayed positive. Most fans were great to us. A few were pretty ugly but nothing I wasn't prepared for. Told my son to just keep his mouth shut and many fans stood up for us and/or apologized for the nonsense. Every fan base has "those fans". I just tried to remember that I was in your house last night and we enjoyed ourselves.

No issues in my section of 127 except for one young hot shot kid and he was technically in 128, but other than that had an enjoyable time.

Possibly someone on the cuse council.

Ha yeah I don’t know if you noticed but I was the guy that tried to calm them down at one point as I was directly on the aisle between them

Yes I did notice that, seemed just like a meathead trying to prove his dominance. Once he calmed down all was good

Bees yes, that’s indeed what he said now that you mention it.
I should mention that the abusive fan was a Syracuse fan not a Clemson fan. I had two very polite Clemson fans sitting next to me.

That’s good. That group has gotten some things done and has the ear of the athletics department. I’m not going to name names but this board has had and still has some members on the council.

And then that will be the last Saturday night game we get for another 10 years ...

Certainly there's a reasonable middle ground between doing away with Saturday night games and the bleachers being like the Wild West.

Want to show us the guy? Or maybe this picture was taken after he already got kicked out.

Ditto, when I am away I try to cheer but not overdue it. Especially when we’re winning.
