I am thinking that they will favor putting Miami in now instead of ND or Bama so ACC will get one team. If UVA won and ACC got the auto-bid I could see them sending both Bama and ND and leaving Miami out. So now I think Miami will get one of the bids instead of Bama or ND.

I understand that part, I was trying to understand why Alabama would cheer for Virginia to win, but Phil laid out the potential jam for the committee well.

This entire championship weekend system is broken with the playoff. It just muddies the waters more. These games do nothing but complicate the playoff picture. Additionally, Indiana just had a program defining victory, but might be rewarded by seeing Ohio State again.

Do they have the balls to drop Bama out of the playoffs in favor of Miami? That’s the only question. Miami and ND didn’t play this weekend so I don’t know how you can justify moving Miami in above ND based on the latest rankings.

Miami should be ahead of ND due to their head to head win, but it didn’t play out that way.

ACC is a dumpster fire, but to be fair, I think Duke would beat James Madison. I know the rankings won’t work like that, as Duke is 8-5, but the Sun Belt is well below the level of a conference like the American.

I know they don’t like to penalize teams for losing conference championships, but BYU and Alabama weren’t competitive today. That should serve as their playoff loss. Put ND, Miami in.
