The story says he has referred to himself as St. Marrone, in part because it was a miracle he was able to win at Syracuse. Doesn't really say much about our beloved Orange, does it?

Big fan of Marrone, but if this stuff is all true, getting fired might be the best thing for his long-term health

Just another year of being a Bills fan, unfortunately its always something over there. At least we signed Kyle Orton and Watkins seems like hes going to play Sunday. Wish we weren't opening up with the bears though, not exactly a great matchup for our defense but at least there run D is awful.

And people were making fun of and laughing at a poster recently that suggested Marrone could very well be out after this year. I will never forget what he did for syracuse, but make no mistake it sounds like Marrone is a grade A off the field and its not just from this story. He brought us back from respectability and I will always be thankful but it seems like he is always unhappy. Syracuse was his dream job, but left in disgust after 4 years. Seems like he already hates his time in buffalo. Will he ever be happy? Coaching is stressful, but he just doesn't seem to enjoy it. You can tell other coaches love it, whens the last time Marrone laughed or smiled?

LOL

Sources said Marrone has referred to himself as "Saint Doug" at times, referencing the fact that it takes two miracles to be canonized as a saint, and that he already pulled off one miracle by winning at Syracuse and alluding to the fact it would take another miracle to win in Buffalo.

what an ahole.

the front office sucks too if they think Kuondijo warranted a longer look

the only think jim shwartz and kyle orton will have to play for by midseason is trying to prevent cleveland from getting the #1 pick

Wait, are you telling me that Marrone has backtracked from his statement about wanting the Buffalo job because of all the talent they had?

and he didn't have a winning record at Syracuse.

The Bills always find away to stay out of the absolute basement even when we started out 0-8 we ended up with the third overall pick. The schedule is ridiculous as always but I am hoping for some type of miracle for a .500 season.

this will be the year they finally tank.

I'll give him one thing. It will take a miracle for him to get his hand picked, drafted too early, QB EJ Manual to be an NFL caliber QB.

Unfortunately for him, the lack of the 2nd miracle will likely cost him his job. Because it didn't need to be a miracle in the first place.

Glass half empty: He didn't have a winning record at Syracuse.
Glass half full: He didn't have a losing record at Syracuse.

Anytime the QB is Cutler, I think it's a decent matchup for our defense.

This happened 2-3 weeks ago. Hopefully it's all cleared up by now.

Buffalo just needs to hurry up and start the regular season. My goodness, this offseason has been a complete soap opera. Certainly seems the pressure of the team for sale is causing alot of tension. There was a report yesterday (based on assumption, not fact) that if Pegula buys the team which seems most likely, he will clean house. It's just report after report and EJ article after EJ article.

The talent is there. Will the pressure cause this team to break or will the pressure produce a diamond. Could go either way.

Sounds like he needs to be in complete control. Maybe coaching should not be his ultimate profession.

God I'm so sick of all of this. Try not being pathetic for once this century Buffalo. The term "long suffering" fan should only apply to us Bills fans from here on out.

If the Bills get off to a bad start I think Doug and Hackett are gone and Schwartz takes over has head coach. I predict Marrone does not finish the year but I really really hope that's not the case.

I don't know the man nor have I met him but from everything I have read unless you are in his inner circle Marrone basically seems like an arrogant a$$. That works okay in college where he did save the program and everyone knew but it doesn't work in the NFL where the GM's hold the true power unless your one of a select few coaches.

Again I really hope I'm eating my words.

I doubt Marrone will be fired mid season if things go south, highly unlikely.

Everything said about him during his time here was true. He wasn't well liked and for good reason. He had several similar blow ups during his time at SU as well. It's just who he is.
