First year might be rough but no reason we can’t be good/relevant w/ the right hire in year 2

I 100% agree. I want him gone tonight. Just sucks that were here again and likely will have to wait a bit longer.

Before the last two games, that seemed like a crazy idea but now I don't see how an interim head coach hurts anything. We have literally zero recruits and no chance of making the tournament. At least show some pride and get the ball rolling with a search.
 
Autry shouldn't have made it to this season to be honest. It was clear as day over the first two seasons he wasn't a good coach. This decision dragged the program through another down year and we probably wasted a tournament talented team. I never would miss a second of a game. I honestly don't care if I watch anymore. This is pathetic.

Grab one of the local high school coaches at least one of them could teach fundamentals.

This was all made possible by the fans. Other programs are serious because their fans demand accountability.

It can happen quickly, but more than likely we bring in a high end mid-major level guy. We have been so bad for 10 years, we do not have 4 and 5 star guys lining up to come here. We also aren't near the top for NIL. It is more likely its a couple year rebuild.

I watched the whole game with zero emotion. Fully expected us to lose. When we did lose I was actually relieved because I know this was one loss closer to Red’s termination. His tenure is OVER. He may be the coach for the next 6 weeks, but his outcome was effectively sealed tonight. Red is getting a Pink slip in March.
 
The thing I do not understand is the failure of Autry to look at this holistically. If he was never a coach, Autry would forever be a positive memory for Cuse fans with an impervious legacy. Fans were willing to give him some time as a coach, and even with initial failures the first 2 seasons that wouldn't have done anything negative in that regard. Now? It's over. He has seen the things that has cost this team wins, and still steadfastly refuses to make a single adjustment. There is still no offense, there is still no consistent defensive effort. Why? Why would you willingly do that to your legacy? Everything you needed to improve and adjust was right before your eyes and could have been fixed.

Now it's too late. And it's incredibly sad that someone who is part of the annals of this program's history will forever be remembered like this. And it was avoidable.

A good mid major coach can get us to the tournament next year.
