I don’t know much about Davis as a coach other than seeing what they did to us, watched them beat Duke, and that their record is 19-4.

Also I am pretty sure I have read within this flood of threads about Red/moving forward that ADJW is already/has been back channeling per a couple insiders. People just need to be patient a few more weeks as Red sunsets and a point when back channel discussions start turning into public reports of official out reach and setting up meetings. I am sure JW is having conversations with Carmelo as well. Why? Because he is a hoops legend and big donor for Syracuse. I think Carmelo "saying a little adversity isn't a bad thing " suggests actually a nuanced understanding of the current SU situation.

He posted 10 losses his first year then had that crazy FF run. Also posted 13 and 14 losses in between an 8 loss team. Seems like he's figured it out now - give it to Caleb Williams and good things happen.

I was actually surprised to see our NET at 69 this morning. If Red was to somehow figure out a way to coach and actually win 7 or 8 more games the rest of the year, we’d probably find a way into the tournament. But we all know that’s as likely as Melo getting his eligibility back and joining the team next week to play alongside Kiyan.

Ohio State fired Holtman on Feb 14th last year. They didn’t let him finish out the season.

Nobody is castrating OSU over that decision.

We’ll be absolutely fine if we announce Red won’t be retained after the season ends but will be allowed to finish out the year. We’ll be lucky to win 2 more games the rest of the year. Nobody on the planet will criticize the school for firing Red between now and the end of the year.

Well the women’s basketball coach thinks we should be nicer and accept having a losing team. Honestly I get wanting to

She needs to . Our men’s program is in shambles and needs a change. So glad she’s having a good year, but it doesn’t move the needle as the kids would say.

Not at all- but I've always found that quote of his to be...different. It's rare to read a phrase that uses words never seen or heard from ever again.

As for JB and his record, regardless of what "lightweights" he beat, and dare I say under a totally different college athletics world, I'll quote the Tuna: "You are, what your record says you are". Period.
