After seeing Fab's recent development, if you had the choice, would you rather have a freshman Noel on the squad next season, or a junior Fab, assuming that both would only be around for one year...

I say Fab. He is our best player right now, and will only be that much better next season.

Just because he brings more size, experience and offensive game (from what I understand), I think I'd have to go with Fab. I'm not sure Noel can bring as much, potentially, as Fab in terms of scoring, passing and rebounding.

Noel. I think he's a transcendent college player.

Under those conditions, Fab. In reality, Noel, because (I was just thinking about this) I think Fab is gone and I think there is a possibility that he is a 2 year guy, so that he can play with Goodluck and Ennis.
(Harp stings, wavey lines, indicating dream sequence)
First 5 - Fab, Xmas, Fair, Trich, Dion
Next 5 - DC, Noel, JS, MCW, Cooney
(Baye & Grant Redshirt)

Who ya got.

Next year (Fab, Dion and Rak have gone to NBA)

(First 5 ) Noel, DC, Fair, Cooney, MCW
Goodluck, Grant, Ennis, Baye, New Guy

I guess I just don't see Noel averaging more than maybe 9 points, 7 boards and 4.5 blocks next year. He might be more refined offensively than I'm anticipating, but I see a third year Melo putting up 12, 8 and 4 next year.

What will suck is if we have neither of them.

Fab I prefer consistency and having guys return year over year. We (Coaching staff that is) have a pretty good idea what we'll have in Fab next season, Noel is more of a wildcard. He might be next year's version of Anthony Davis or he might not make as big an impact. Next year's Fab probably won't make an Anthony Davis impact, but will definitely be a force.

That said, if its going to be a struggle for him to stay eligible I change my vote because I would like to limit the drama next season.

Nah, Coleman, Keita, Christmas is a really solid trio of 5s.

We're going to be good for a while regardless of what happens this offseason.

No way Noel is a 2 year guy. I read an article the other day that says he's best shot blocker in the country who's not in the NBA. Their saying he's already a better shot blocker than Davis, Melo, Drummond, etc. THat's unreal.
