ACC Football Rx (accfootballrx.com; HM)

Andy Bitter (Roanoke Times) interviewed Whit Babcock (VT AD). He asked Babcock about the ACC Network; Babcock answered without telling him much of anything...

Babcock told Bitter "We’re meeting more with ESPN and it’s moving along in a way that we’re all really pleased with", though he reminded him that "exact numbers... will depend on distribution".

When Bitter asked Babcock about the $10 million that VT has been approved to spend on their ACC Network facilities and equipment, his response was about the only thing which gave any clue about expected revenue in the early years of the network. Babcock said "...hopefully the network goes so well that the money we spent to get it off the ground, it will take us a year or two or three to pay it off".

To pay off $10 million in one year would require revenues of $10 million (obviously).

To pay it off in two years would mean $5 million.

To pay if off in three years would take average revenues of at least $3.3 to $3.4 million.

If Babcock had already factored in the fact that ESPN would no longer be paying the $3 million per year per team guarantee for not having a network, then you would need to add $3 million to all of those numbers...

The 6-foot, 170-pound Nunn is rated three stars and the No. 55 athlete this cycle by 247Sports.com's composite rankings. He previously listed the Orange as one of his top three schools, along with Miami and Auburn, in an interview with Miami DieHards. SU hosted Nunn on an unofficial visit this spring and safeties coach Nick Monroe has been actively pursuing him since offering in December.
Monroe visited Nunn in late April and then again last week, per 247Sports.com.

Syracuse Football extends offer to in-state DT Jason Blissett (itlh.com; Carey)

The Syracuse football squad continues to do work to defend home field. ITLH breaks down the latest offer and what it all means.
The Syracuse football coaching staff has offered class of 2019 defensive tackle Jason Blissett. A New York City native, Blissett is likely a priority target for the Orange in the cycle, especially at a position of need like defensive line.
According to 247sport.com, Blissett is listed as the third best prospect in New York for his cycle, he checks in as the 60th best DT, and the 858th best player in his class. In addition to the Syracuse offer, Blissett has options that include: Baylor, Boston College, Duke, and Maryland among others.

The 6-foot 3 Brooklyn, New York native plays his high school football at Poly Prep. Since head coach Dino Babers took over the Syracuse program, we have seen the emphasis he and the staff has put on mining in-state talent. Blissett is absolutely a crucial player in this class for the Orange because of his New York roots and he plays a position of need where depth is imperative.

Syracuse burger named the best in New York by state beef council (PS; Pucci)

The Power Play Burger from Syracuse's Ale 'n' Angus Pub is the best burger in New York, according to the New York Beef Council.

The burger--a half-pound Angus beef burger topped with shaved prime rib, American cheese, lettuce and tomato served on a New York Bakery soft kaiser roll--was named the 2018 Best New York Burger winner by a team of Yelp Elite judges.
The state beef council will award Ale 'n' Angus Pub owner Randy Beach with a commemorative plaque later this morning.

The judges visited each of the four finalists and evaluated the burgers on appearance, taste, texture, proper cooking, creativity and service on a scale of 1 to 10.
This is not the first time the Power Play Burger was named the best in the state by the New York Beef Council. The burger took home the top prize in the council's 2012 search.
