I was void of hope after the Liberty game, Today brought me back to life.

We played that well, for the most part, with our second/third/and even fourth stringers.

After last weeks low point, this was a small step in the right direction. Down 17 to remain competitive in the game till the 4th was good to see.

Kids made plays, team won some plays and possessions. It was a good sign. The OL has progressed since game one. Wish other kids could get snaps.

Clemson still dominated though. They were in control before the kickoff and I think they were working on some things. They worked against our strength, which were the corners in man to man. They were never in any danger, regardless of punts and timeouts.

If they were just focused on dominating early they could have worked the midsection just like Liberty.

Also Liberty played like it was the most important game in program history, Clemson, not so much.

I don't think next weekend against Wake is going to go very well. But at this point, I'd just like to believe we're building something back up.

Today's game almost made me more frustrated at how the season has played out. It showed what we could do when focused and playing well. If anything it's a referendum on our poor performance the first half of the season. Makes no sense we can go toe to toe with Clemson for 3 quarters, but get emasculated by Liberty at home. Chances are extremely high that Morgan is nowhere near Rex.

That said, yes, we should be working him in, along with arguably one of the other QBs, with an eye towards developing them for the future.

I think folks don’t watch enough Liberty or Clemson games. We sucked vs Liberty, but they are good G5. Clemson is so far beyond like 90% of P5 teams and we hung with them longer than most.

Liberty loss is not good, but not as bad as ppl were saying. Being within 7 late in the 3rd vs Clemson will not be something a lot of our ACC brethren will be able to say at the end of the season.

You just described a young team. Inconsistent. That’s why today was important. The need to learn what proper effort and focus gets you.

Clemson took the game as a joke and didn't bring their A-game. What kind of coach wouldn't be playing their underclass QB's at this point? There is no straightforwardness with this program now, always some hidden agenda.

I think there is some truth that Clemson didn't take us seriously and never really seemed focused, but we made some plays too. That said I think next week ends poorly and this game is the outlier. Too beat up, and too poorly managed on game day to expect more in my opinion.
