For those that of us headed to Dallas this weekend….

Enjoy the trip, a lot of fun things to do in Dallas. I recommend the rooftop bars in Deep Ellum.

As far as the game, you'll probably be able to beat traffic if you want. I think the 17.5 spread is light. I don't expect this to go well at all.

Hope I'm wrong, like I was Clemson week.
Deep Ellum has kind of gone to crap. Daytime it’s fine. I’d avoid after dark, especially after midnight.

Also posted this in the tailgate thread:
I just found out a good friend from my grad school days at SMU is being honored by them during the game. He's a military band conductor. A nice coincidence that I'll be at the game. But, still LGO, of course.
My hope for all of you at the game, and those of us watching is we have the ball at the end of the game inside the SMU 25 yard line with 50 seconds left to go leading by 7 points.

I hope you eat some BBQ.
Texas bbq is no joke. Best I’ve ever had. A single beef rib costs $65 but the meat was so tender I could cut it with a plastic fork

We just came from the SMU campus. It is really nice.

We were able to negotiate a good price and I am happy to announce their little football stadium is now our house.
I don’t think anybody in Dallas knows or cares much about SMU. It’s all about UT, Oklahoma, A&M, Texas Tech and of course the Cowboys

Thats a very round about way of saying we beat Clemson. ; )
Good point!
I was digging
After reading the article about SMU coach Lashlee and HCFB being on Arkansas radar as their next HC...of course Fran will crush Lashlee who must be #1 on their list.
A good reason "why Syracuse will win"

If $25K is the established fine, maybe JW baked that into the budget and we just abuse the heck out if it.

Watched 10 minutes of Charlotte at USF last night and sure enough on two consecutive plays a 49er lays down as the Bulls (who play really fast) are driving deep early 4th qtr. Soon as the ref comes over to talk to them they pop up and jog to sidelines but it slowed things down plenty. Didn’t matter, they got mauled.

Hopefully our players "practiced" that this week. And they assigned numbers so there would be no question whose turn it is.
I was talking about SMU like how Louisville did that in the dome a decade ago because it was too hot…. Compared to Kentucky heh
