It’s OK. We’ve only lost 39-11 on average for each of the past 7 games. Everything is totally cool.I didn't want to do that math.
Or any math really.

If people want to ride with the argument that this year's problems result largely from the injury to the starting quarterback they have to be prepared for the counter that last year's success can largely be credited to a one year unicorn at quarterback.“13 wins in his first two seasons…
We are Syracuse University — not a blue blood, not a cash-printing SEC titan, not a program with a conveyor belt of five-stars. So let’s put Fran’s start in perspective by comparing him to our past coaches:
- Dino Babers: 8 wins (4 + 4) — had HC experience
- Scott Shafer: 9 wins (7 + 2)
- Doug Marrone: 12 wins (4 + 8) — no HC experience
- Greg Robinson: 5 wins (1 + 4)
- Paul Pasqualoni: 20 wins (10 + 10) — inherited loaded rosters
- Dick MacPherson: 8 wins (4 + 4)
- Frank Maloney: 8 wins (2 + 6)
- Ben Schwartzwalder: 10 wins (5 + 5)
Fran Brown: 13 wins (and a 10-win season already — one of only a handful in program history).
He has the second-most wins through two seasons of any Syracuse coach since WWII not named Paul Pasqualoni.
People keep crying, “But he had no head-coaching experience!”
Cool. Neither did Saint Dougy when he walked in the door. I guess that was magically okay because he carried binders or something.
This program is already better than it has been for most of the 21st century. The recruiting is better. The energy is better. The overall feel is better.
But sure — the galaxy-brain solution is to toss him out after Year 2 like yesterday’s trash.
**Brilliant. Truly visionary stuff.
Pretty hard to win football games if your opponent scores 39 and you score 11.It’s OK. We’ve only lost 39-11 on average for each of the past 7 games. Everything is totally cool.
Are you serious??? Franklin got fired from Penn State for not being able to beat Ohio State enough (ever). Clemson boards are turning on Dabo this year. Fans are not all that masochistic. Win or lose your job. Used to be coaches got 5-7 years. Now it is 3ish. Fran has one more year.
Amazing how many coaches have been rumored to leave for a better job and then started losing. Brown was SEC bound after Clemson. Rhule lost the week after PSU opener. UCLA fire its coach and White’s FSU defense collapsed. Brown, Key, etc. I think we need to start some OBrien to the Giants rumors and see if that helps us best BC next week…
Hes been here less than 2 years. Jesus. Guy has a great class coming in next season. We are a mediocre lower to middle level program. Get a freaking gripAre you serious??? I'm pretty sure a bunch of people have said both statements. If people want to ride with the argument that this year's problems result largely from the injury to the starting quarterback they have to be prepared for the counter that last year's success can largely be credited to a one year unicorn at quarterback.
they only lost to ND 10-25 and almost beat GTech. They have a legit P4 QB in Lonergan, BC 31, Syracuse 13. We have completely hit rock bottom. Brown's seat is now blazing.Someone let Lupica know that B.C. has zero wins against D-1 teams.

This is the key. If you’re calling for his head, you don’t understand this point. This season was a tough one right from the get go, but went to pot during the Clemson win w Steve’s injury. He decided to play young players. The result is we’re getting killed. Right or wrong, Fran moved on from veteran players. He knew after the injury this was a lost season.
Until this time next weekSomeone let Lupica know that B.C. has zero wins against D-1 teams.

Hopefully your son, family will not say that about you. We will all be justified by our words and how we treat others.Worst loss ever
I’m fine w losing and I’m fine w situations which are unlucky. I’m also fine w a rough schedule making it worse . We are Syracuse, a terrible football program since 2000 or so. I’m fine w the expectation of this. It’s OK. We’ve only lost 39-11 on average for each of the past 7 games. Everything is totally cool.

I think most people have not forgotten about his season last year but it’s the way we lost. I’m not a Collins fan but I’d like to think we wouldn’t of lost that badly on national tvDidnt we win 10 games last season?
Our fan base sucks. I hate it
I don’t buy this for a second.. you can “throw” a game and still not set records in both college football and SU in a loss. This was beyond embarrassing.I am seeing a LOT of posts on X [Twitter] of people saying that Fran purposely threw this game because he hates Miami. One even said he heard that the players were told to throw the game. I don't believe it for a second. But I don't know what to believe about Fran.
