freshmen impact players

This list is spot on. Especially the last 3. That said, Stewart and Andrew's have very bright futures for Cuse. I think Deslauriers and Nyandoro will see significant time this season.
I see Deslauriers getting snaps now especially against Tennessee they will try to rammer the football and we need big bodies to stop the run.

Nyandoro seems like the best athlete of the freshmen DE bunch. Very good measurables, taller than the other two. I think they will have no choice but to have at least 1 freshman DE see the field.

I will say, I’ve been a bit disappointed in the fact that it’s been very tough to find out which young guys look good at camp. The local media has asked questions about the QB battle a billion different ways all camp. Virtually every single position coach has had a media availability and we can’t figure out who is emerging? Piss poor job by the media.

Would love to know if any insiders have info as to who might surprise on the 2-deep

Boobie Johnson , Samuels jr , Byron Washington , Antoine Deslauriers, Kaylin Singleton have all looked great in ORANGE and pushing for playing time as true freshmen . I believe that Samuels , Antoine, Byron will end up starting multiple game this season.

I think that was the traditional way of thinking. But Fran doesn’t roll that way. If he can play, doesn’t want to redshirt and can help the team, he will see the field. But of course that depends on what the real timeline to return is. And what the kid wants to do. He could also play four games too.
plus with the transfer portal, why redshirt him to possibly lose him to another team. If he's healthy and can help us, play him.

Our uniforms are all solids though. Uh oh! Uni-thread!

My predictions for the first game is we will see , Antione , Samuels and Byron vs Tennessee .

UPDATE Bryon Washington is now out starting right guard. Samuels is playing at an elite level . Boobie Johnson like I predicted will most likely redshirt this year . A lot of young WRs like Williams are playing and getting snaps as well. Antoine has been amazing and most likely be a freshmen all American . Hill has been a great change of pace back for us as well. Fran also mentioned that more freshman will be playing in this game on Friday.

Boobie played 28 snaps vs. Georgia Tech. So unless he sits out 1 of the last 4 of the year, he won't be redshirting

Kind of interesting to approach the season with trios of freshmen each playing 4 games = 12. Especially at a position like WR where we are still pretty deep and do not even have enough passes connecting as it is.
