Friendly suggestion

I heard from someone close to the team that everyone expects Q to leave after this year. Not that he should but that's just what I'm hearing.
Where’s he going? He’s not an NBA player. Not a good shooter and he can’t score inside against any kind of defensive pressure. It would be a huge mistake if he declared for the draft. I can’t imagine anyone counseling him to leave.

I believe it.

He was open about wanting to be a one and done before he got here and he's already 21. His draft stock probably isn't going to get any higher than it will be after this season. He should leave.

With respect, JB’s utilization of Buddy is beyond comprehension. He says that BB ‘stretches’ the defense so we can score inside. Yet BB is shooting about 30% from 3. He wilts under ball pressure. Not the best trait for a 2 guard who’s job is to ’stretch’ the defense.

If it Is over the top to state the obvious then we really have created an echo chamber...
BB will spread the floor for the rest of the season no matter what his %, drawing tight "D" because nobody wants to see him hit 2 in a row and go off for 18 in a half from all angles and distances.

I think this is the thread where I replied with my “shut up, dumdum” comment. Looks like it was deleted. To whichever mod deleted it, if that’s the case, use of ‘dumdum’ was meant to signal copious sarcasm.

eh we do have an inside game when we want to - just look at the VaTech game (and a couple others)

Yeah, that was shocking to see that we actually CAN do it. Kind of made me mad after we reverted to form against UVA, though, and played more knucklehead ball, hoisting three after three after three.

Okay, but how does that help us when he doesn’t go off for 18 and commits numerous turnovers because of the tight defense that he can‘t shake? Sorry for being sarcastic but the party line isn’t working against ACC defenses. He is shooting 30% from 3 and 37% overall in ACC play yet is playing 35+ minutes a game. This is not justifiable.

What we saw Saturday will be the blueprint for the rest of the year; suffocate BB and JG while bodying up on Q and Marek to eliminate points early while hitting numerous 3‘s due to marginal top of the zone defense. Then bang it inside. After 10 minutes, JB will bring in Kadary and we’ll be behind by greater than 10. Rinse and repeat.

It's certainly possible. Hope he comes back as I like watching him play.

“We’ll be better next year” has been said every year for the last 6 years. We’ve gotten worse almost every year.
I have zero faith in JB to fix this.
I hear you but I really like kidary, Benny and woody. Hope frank can work hard and be that athletic 5 we need. I'll always be positive though. That's my nature.

Be critical, be optimistic don’t get personal in your comments.

It’s stupid.
JB wants to win.
The players want to win.

The strategy in game, recruiting, roster management are legitimate areas of criticism.

Don’t be a knucklehead and make it worse than it is.

Just keep the criticism on target if that is your prerogative.

There is over the line stupid stuff being said.

It helps to root for the player's dreams to come true, rather than demand they make your dreams come true. They are basically the same dreams anyway but it helps to try to see them through the eyes of the players.
