From the Rumor Melo Mill...

So we have the following stories from "reliable sources, someone in the know, someone close to SU athletics, someone, in Fab's class, someone at Chuck's, and connected sources with the SPD"

1) Fab got deported
2) Fab got caught cheating on a term paper
3) Fab violated his restraining order
4) Fab failed a drug test
5) Fab failed out of school
6) Fab skipped fencing class

I heard number 2, 3, 4, and 6 all occurred during the same class.

So many stories I'd want to find out about. Deshaun Williams' situation being #1 on my list. Louie McCroskey, Josh Wright, and Mookie's situation this year too...

you dont care about billy edelin?

From a supposed reliable source:

Fab Melo was kept out of the Tourney for violating his restraining order.

I heard he was assessed 30 fouls by the referees prior to the tourney.

Dumb. That has nothing to do with NCAA eligibility. If that had happened, he would have been arrested. Dumbest thing I have read about this whole thing.

but why would that make him necessarily ineligible. i heard it was a drug test, but i didn't want to post.

No one actually knows, all these rumors are hurtful to Fab and people need to stop.

If this is true, my god

This girl better be Kate Upton

She's not. Cute, but not worth throwing a season away for by any stretch.

I've also heard at least a dozen rumors ranging from program-killing conspiracy to he would've played in the final four because an appeal was going through. Take everything with a grain of salt.

Interesting thing I saw was a locker room video where a reporter asked Triche what Boeheim told the team when he broke the news. Brandon said Boeheim "was pissed off" and that the reason was that Fab violated a rule (I'm paraphrasing there - but nothing about being ruled ineligible by anyone and nothing about academics). I doubt this one is academics only because they stated clearly it was academics last time, why do it differently?

He was ruled ineligible under a Brazilian / us agreement..we rule fab ineligible...they suspend all infomercials of "Brazilian butt lift"

If that's true he's dumber than I thought.

Another reliable source... John Higgins called Fab at halftime and said he was giving him 4 fouls even though he wasn't there... Two for looking at Sullinger wrong thru his TV and one for clapping when JB got the T... and one for flinching

I realize these guys come from entirely different backgrounds than myself and I made mistakes in college also, but it takes me awhile longer to get over off the court issues than any on the court mistakes. For example, it kind of bothers me when people bring up Lawrence Moten's TO against Arkansas as the first thing that comes to mind for me is he is our all time leading scorer. But it totally drives me crazy when kids mess up great opportunities.

Wasn't he was called for a 5 second violation? I seemed to remember it was questionable because he wasn't really being guarded.
