It was a hard roof - nothing about the facade, but I would think that if they expand out that they'd revamp the entire facade. I'm still a little skeptical about the timeline. I was thinking she misinterpreted something. I think she's working tonight so I'm sure she will ask some more questions based on my skepticism.

I have a dumb question...If she passed away in 2012 and her husband passed in 1997, how did she donate money in 2016? Curious to know the details. Was it willed to the University to donate 4 years after her passing? Did their children decide to donate it?

Anyone know?

In any case, it's pretty awesome.

It probably came to the university from some sort of trust. The husbands assets most likely created a trust and she was the remainder beneficiary until she passed in 2012. Very common in higher education to donate funds to a university for a tax deduction up front when the trust is created. The university stands in line waiting for the beneficiaries to pass before realizing the proceeds. The university is named the trustee and can invest the funds and make additional money while it pays out quarterly payments to each beneficiary over their lives. But they can't use the funds until all the beneficiaries pass. That's how it works.

I just hope that the university never recognizes the dumpsterfire that was Cantor's tenure. Unless they can find a way to reflect the cash fire and plummeting academic rankings.

Plans for heated sidewalks!

Students can try out furniture, that we may see on our campus, outside these forums and offer feedback

Bikes WILL BE allowed on the University Place Promenade

However - vehicles will NOT

Not sure who's more to blame for not recognizing that bicycles are vehicles, the student-reporter or SU and the designers.

There will be a health promotion and education space as well as a pharmacy in Archbold as well.

Plans for yoga studio and mental health relaxation space in Archbold as well.

There will also be a bouldering/climbing wall, three story amenity!

Juice bar and a six lane pool on level 1.

Gender neutral lockers and bathrooms as well!

There will be tons of elevator access, four will be in the building. At least one will also be sized to fit a stretcher as well.

Counseling center and health services are also planned to be relocated to Archbold as well!
